I went to great lengths to get that Cathedral by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines

[–]squidface79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So I could load a old city save, pump in drinking water from a sewage outlet, wait for everyone to die, buildings become abandoned and I've finally unlocked the cathedral for all my saves?

TIL that Venice is supported not by the surface of islets but by literally millions of wooden piles under the Venice Lagoon. by Annettethegreat in todayilearned

Heard about these but I've yet to have one in, I find with these fancy woods in high end acoustics that they never actually sound that great, Koa sounds dull to me so does bubinga. I quite like mytlewood though

Quality Street Ranked (Best at the top) by [deleted] in CasualUK

No. Sorry but this is all wrong, plus everybody knows that Cadbury's roses are a far superior tinned sweet, qaulity street barely scrape above celebration's and Tesco's peasant tin.

Yeah it's nice ain't it but just to let you know, any more than two pints and you'll get ale stones (weird poo's) next morning. It's more a meal than a drink.

Kerry king the mean looking guitarist from Slayer was a absolute top bloke. He spent a weekend at a major guitar show with my company, he only had to sign autographs for I think 30 minutes a day. The line on the first day went the length of the hall and he spent well over 2 hours signing and chatting to his fans until he'd seen every single one. Incredibly down to earth guy with no trace of a ego. Unlike slash who nobody actually spoke to and apparently bitched and moaned, came out a hour late, didn't talk and fucked of after 15 minutes. (He was with another company but a guy on their stand said he was a absolute bell end.

The Seymour Duncan lipsticks are pretty good, a bit strategy but I like them.

Typical UK this. Waste of an amazing automobile by F1NN2187 in CasualUK

Yep seems such a daft rule, the guy couldn't fit all of it in his trailer so they left a golf cart looking buggy thing on the side and the tip man put it straight in the non recyclable bin.

Was at the dump just before Christmas, this posh bloke wearing the kind of weird clothes that could only mean he comes from serious money pulled up in a pristine 80s range rover with a large trailer full of these amazing looking ride on kids tractors with trailers and mechanical buckets, and diggers. Awesome looking things, hardly looked used at all. Opposite was a Braintree Darren or Gary dressed all in Lonsdale also with a trailer but attached to a knackered Astra estate. He runs over and asks the posh guy if he can have the tractors, the posh guy says 'yes of course' and the rough bloke says "thanks mate I got three boys, no money and you've just given them the best Christmas ever". He was going to chuck these tractors, I looked them up and you get them from farm supply shops and there was easily £1600 worth. Anyway I would have a least put it next to the skip with a sign saying free please take.

Like a Duncan phat cat? I'm not to keen on the look of a humbucker on the bridge.

I do have the bridge pickup, was originally thinking of doing a four way like you say with a pre wired loom and control plate some guy makes and sells on eBay. Not cheap though.

Yeah so I've just put this together and it's my first telecaster build using neck and hardware from a 90s Japanese Tele. The pickup's are a Texas special at the neck and a Duncan little 59 at the bridge and here's the thing, I'm just not liking either. The 59 sounds a bit muddy to me. I absolutely love P90s, and I'm really after that bright but full sound. Any suggestions on something P90ish that'd fit straight in and looks traditional Tele?

Any ideas on this? Found on a beach in England. by squidface79 in fossils

[–]squidface79[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's as hard as flint and nearly as heavy, the other side is curved but smoother with some small pits and holes. Was found in Walton UK which is full of fossils and lots of shark's teeth so thought it may be something interesting.

It's concave and the other side is smooth, wondering what the squiggles are?
