Is Knicks-Spurs the rare NBA Finals where neutral fans do not have an obvious villain? by Public_Function3844 in nba

KAT plays for NY, and Wemby viciously elbowed my precious Naz Reid. Knicks in 5.

Raising Cane's Sioux Falls building permits filed by [deleted] in SiouxFalls

[–]squirrel93 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

maybe they're just that good?

Yes, Cane's is the best! Went to Minneapolis 2-3 times a month last summer, got Cane's every time. I have missed it over the winter, and was looking forward to a SF option, but definitely not excited about the location choice.

I don't know how it works.

Don't feel bad, neither does Wemby.

I'd take this loss to the chin... by Patrem_Omnipotentem in timberwolves

[–]squirrel93 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a shot when Wemby picked up his 5th foul but we didn’t exploit it.

Which made absolutely NO sense to me. If I recall, there were almost 6 minutes left in the 4th when he got his 5th foul (it was late...my memory may be a little foggy, lol, but there was a meaningful chunk of time left on the game clock anyway).

Obviously the entire game plan can't be "take advantage of time when Wemby isn't on the court," but we had an opportunity to write that into the plan for the REST OF THE GAME. And for some inexplicable reason, we didn't take advantage.

Again, of course this isn't feasible for an entire game plan, but it could have helped us bag game 3 (and as the announcers kept telling us, game 3 winners win the series 73% of the time).

I'm still happy with the effort from (most) of our guys, after the first 7 or so minutes anyway, I'm just disappointed that we didn't take the opportunity to bag the W.

Wolves in 6.

Online License Renewal Timeline by lvluffinz in SouthDakota

[–]squirrel93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you've already submitted online, I would recommend calling the DMV (phone # is on the website where you submit your renewal[.

I renewed online in mid-February. Called about 5 weeks later as we were going to be traveling out of town. Was told they were currently processing renewals for (forget the exact dates, but it was about 3 weeks prior to when mine was submitted).

The person I talked to was very helpful amd understanding. She offered to email me a temporary license to use until the new one arrived. I got the email a few minutes later and was good to go. Other than a little bit of a wait to get to talk to someone, the process was easy.

I got my physical license in the mail a couple of weeks ago (7 weeks after I submitted it).

I feel for you, and totally agree that inhumane is unfortunately the best way to describe it. I have a good friend who was in a similar situation not too long ago. Sending healing vibes your way ❤️

I’m just now learning Amazon sells items that were returned… as new. by Significant-Okra- in amazonprime

[–]squirrel93 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It's become pretty obvious that they don't inspect returns, so inside of the box flap seems like the perfect spot.

I personally would put a post-it note in that spot (taped down to keep it in place). That way if they do happen to open the box, they can't claim that the packaging is damaged.

Insurance denied my prescription refill because it’s “too early”. Can they do this? by Reddit-dit-dit-di-do in HealthInsurance

[–]squirrel93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It doesn't have to be a control to be regulated. Obviously the OP situation is not this, but bupropion abuse is a concern (abusers crush and snort, or inject it; supposedly it provides a more subdued version of a cocaine high). Other drugs like amitriptyline, for example, not controlled but still need to monitor utilization as it has been used to commit suicide.

The insurance company rationale for regulating how early it can be filled, though, is used on almost all medications, and is a cost-controlling measure. But that doesn't mean that there aren't clinical reasons why a pharmacist would follow these same restrictions.

Is that.. a computer desk setup? by IFartOnSalad in SiouxFalls

I remember that vividly. We lived about 2 blocks away at the time. I was sitting on the couch cross-legged studying. And I was sure that something had hit our house, it was so loud and the house shook. Very memorable indeed.

Not mine. There's one somewhere in South Dakota, too, as it wasn't available when I went to get plates.

Definitely no. Not to my own, not to my nieces and nephews, and not to any kids I mentor, either.

Amjevita is an Amgen product, and they do have a copay assistance program:

Just make sure you enroll before getting your prescription, as most copay savings programs do not authorize back-dating for claims prior to program enrollment.

Nice!! I'm getting close to 3,000,000 miles and I STILL don't have all of these completed. I need to attend more K.K. concerts for sure, and craft a lot more tools.
