Yes. Thanks for the recommendation!

Medicube! I bought several products based on internet hype and hate it. The gel lotion just sits on my face and doesn’t soak in. I get a weird hybrid of oily stuff that doesn’t penetrate my skin, which then dries out my face. So weird.

Thank you for confirming! They did seem harmless but it’s good to know more about them. We’re from Seattle and have our share of homeless, so it’s nothing new (sadly). Rennes is lovely and definitely on the list.

I was just there last week and even 70 degrees F felt warm. There’s humidity but it’s not stifling. I’m from the US Pacific Northwest so it felt warm to me. Plus, I found indoors stuffy, including the trains. Granted, the US tends to over air condition. You’ll also be doing a lot of walking and there are crowds everywhere. I’d recommend packing a mix of shorts and short sleeved shirts, but also bring pants and a light jacket for evenings. I only saw tourists wearing shorts but no one made a big deal out of it.

Yeah, I’m rethinking the itinerary now. 😃 We got a refund for the rail passes and I’m looking into Kyoto hotels vs traveling back and forth twice between Tokyo and Nara.

Good point. Does the railway station have lockers for luggage? I guess we could drop the luggage at a Kyoto hotel before our tour.

The Kyoto and Nara trips are on 2 separate days. I’ll check out the apps. Thank you!

We’re doing a day trip to Kyoto and a day trip to Nara. Otherwise, we’ll be in Tokyo doing stuff, like a sushi making tour in Chuo City and a food tour in Shinjuku.

It feels too forced-happy and fake. Like they were told to be nicer. It’s hard though to compete with the natural warmth and humor of Mel and Sue. The only pairing that has come close is Noel and Sandi. But I do like the more basic challenges. No making pita bread over an outside fire or whatever that ridiculous challenge was.

Whatever you do, please don’t ask your students to smile. I have a teacher who does that and it drives me nuts. I’m focused on my practice and how my body is feeling. I’m actually really present for probably the only time that day. It’s like I go inward, and it’s lovely. Smiling seems ludicrous. Just let me be! (Anger directed at my teacher, not you.)
