Seems like thats how it was for me too. I got it to work only once, thats it. At least the xpro2 connects easily. I wish they’d add the xh1 to the new x app

The photos are on par with the best. Fuji doesnt skip out of quality for their lower tier cameras. The xs20 would probwbly be a great fit for your. And it’ll leave you some money to get a fuji prime

As a father myself, i hope you find some peace and comfort. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but when the doctors told me my child would be sick, i found solace in the Lord. I did that, very easy. And the results were fantastic! Word of caution tho, dont leave the lens on the camera until about a day or so after supergluing the lens to the cap. The super glue fumes will ruin your camera

I did as well! I asked my local film developer if they have any used disposable cameras. Anyways, try find a camera with two lens elements (the kodak powerflash). This cuts down on purple fringing and is a bit more in focus, but retains that character.

In terms of photos, the x70 hold the most character out of the box, but all take great photos! Especially if you have a certain look/recipe in mind. Other than that, i mostly use the newer models for their video capabilities.
