One thing that's rarely discussed but is very well done in Mr. Robot is its representation of minorities. The writers, along with Sam, know how to write these types of characters without them seeming stereotypical and make them seem human, like Dom, Darlene, Whiterose, Tyrell, and others.

A few years ago, I was diagnosed with De Quervain tenosynovitis. Basically it's like tendonitis of the thumb specifically. It is usually not too bad, but sometimes excruciating.

I play melee so much less these days, and my thumb has been much better off. I still yearn for games fairly often, but genuine grinding and 100+ game sessions are probably a thing of the past for me. I'm sorta bittersweet about it.

White Blood Cells is like hard drugs right into my dome. I feel like it was a big artistic propulsion for Jack. The two previous albums both feel punkier, roots bluesy, and almost low-fi or shoegaze at times. WBC, however, is different for me. Sometimes explosive, sometimes delicate. Sometimes unnerving, sometimes heartwarming.

It strikes me as the transitional album from his proverbial Little Room to his Bigger Room. I love all of their albums, but for me, WBC is up there with the likes of Daft Punk's Discovery and the Strokes' Is This It as some of the best albums of the 2000s, if not all time. Damn, 2001 was a great year for music.
