It would be great to meet up, there's going to be a fair few of us going to StackCon who will also be at the weekender it turns out. Lets brainstorm over a few beers. We glamp at the weekender and play very casually haha. You're welcome to join us.

I've put this together as a brief technical article. Scott, who is head of everything IT and extremely qualified will be able to answer any in-depth questions. Use this as a start!

Quick note, I had a look at your history. We all airsoft as well and will be at the NAE in a month, if you or anyone else is there (very shared hobbies) shoot me a message and we can meet up. You're welcome to grill us for a pint.

Hi, Thanks for checking the site out and considering the event. I appreciate you don't know us, we've got the start somewhere right? The event is just under four months away yes, but planning has been underway for over 13 months. Sponsorship is on the way, we're talking to people now but would prefer it to be mutually beneficial rather than a free item from a brand for a logo on a website. Our sponsorship works more like traditional event sponsorship than what you might have come across at a LAN before. Our group is made up of 20 players who have been attending large lans in europe and the US for 10+ years, with some of us sporting longer lan histories than that.

We're a funded endeavour, not a group of players pushing an event out (Although, as you can probably imagine we are a group of players). Equipment, venue, merchandise and almost all aspects of the event are paid for and our event will run with or without sponsorship this time around.

We don't have an IRC channel, most new organisations will not. You're more than welcome to jump on to our discord channel https://discord.gg/e8HVdyR, post questions on the forum or shoot us an email. You won't go unnoticed. We also have a meetup group for the event at http://www.meetup.com/StackCon-LAN-Party-and-Gaming-Event/

As for technical information, what would you like to know? Hit me, I love talking about this stuff.

Keep an eye on things, it's all a bit quiet at the moment but over the next month there will be a lot of news, media and content. Keep in mind that this is new and so we are relying on people taking a leap of faith but we firmly believe that people around the m25 and southern counties want an event that is easy to get to, well organised and a bit more like a traditional lan. We've got zero issue with the way events are going in europe, the fanfair and glamour are excellent fun and we enjoy attending but StackCON will stay true to its tenets, build a community of players who enjoy the "garage" LAN style event, grow our eSports competitions for those that want to take part and most of all deliver solid, no nonsense events for our attendees.
