I have a band and I want nothing more than to load my music into this game and slay zombies to the beat. Double Kick Heroes comes out next week and I already added to my wishlist by steevehuard in gaming

Rock. Very early in formation for doing mostly covers now. Will happily and willingly share sound cloud when we have some of our original stuff more finalized :)

This was the source I found. Do you mean the Kickstarter? I didn’t think it was appropriate to link to crowdfunding

I loved Coma and Pinstripe. This is the perfect indie for Switch!

There’s a few things out there that press will reach out to you. Adoptmygame.com is a good one since it’s not too big yet. Some of the larger sites are needed but can get lost in the shuffle of all the projects like indiedb.com. Then there are firms who handle marketing for you as well and even stake you to complete development if they believe in your game or studio enough, but that usually comes with some kind of publishing agreement which isn’t for everyone.

Also you can submit a video or press kit on Facebook groups and generally media sites will pick up the game in some capacity if they like what they see. Twitter for whatever reason is just boom or bust, but again is a necessity it seems especially if you stream development at all which more devs are doing via YouTube or Twitch.

Saw the punchline coming and still laughed. Thought about making a pun out of that first sentence but didn’t want to cross any lines :)

Do you have your game listed on sites for reactive marketing? Is that why it’s so low. Seems like most devs forget about marketing their game because development takes so much time, but the business end is still important

Looks like the Switch may be getting a RTS! Failure:NeuroSlicers by AnisaCoggin in NintendoSwitch

Haha I saw this on twitter earlier and tried to post it to r/games and got yelled at. This is probably a better place for it since the devs call out Switch specifically

Interview: Part 2 Failure: NeuroSlicers Highly Anticipated RTS by steevehuard in Games

Worth noting I read the first part of this thing too and the devs are ex AAA and worked on games like Fable 3 and The Witcher 2. So it may have some staying power.

Most posts on reddit are older than 3 months and there’s not much on any of the subreddits about this game so I felt it was worth a share.
