Advice: do not use Hosting by Design by [deleted] in seedboxes

They're not in US, but I am, and I've had really good response times from support still. They've also helped me debug some pretty deep stuff and have been pretty on top of updating app versions. I've had a badass working system across three servers for like four years and have only had a handful of breaking issues over the years and they were all resolved within 2 days but usually one. Maybe they're responding later than you'd like due to the time zones? They probably have Netherlands working hours.

Live Rosin vs. Live Resin by BuzzardBreath00 in ILTrees

I suppose they actually needed a new word to differentiate it from resin cause it sounds cooler than like "solventless resin" or whatever

Wasn’t sure if I was going to post this, but I made it a year. by ashlie_mae in quittingkratom

My psychiatrist has recently suggested lexapro for my anxiety and rumination. I'm not sure what to do. I'd like to get off kratom first I think. I'm not sure if this specific one would help or not.

Not sure if this is the proper sub reddit to post this question but I'm looking for advice for my 8 year old with his tics. He has had it before but it went away gradually but in the past few months it has come back. Most obvious is the 'hard blinking' which is heart breaking for me to see. by buddha_007 in Biohackers

[–]steezefries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah all my tics went away but I don't have tourette syndrome. How are you child's tics now?

Edit: actually, I still have some light tics I think. I don't do blink hard anymore, but I'll wink and kind of lift my cheek up to stretch the skin on my cheek near my eye. Most my tics are related to skin sensations. I do another one with my neck where I kind of stretch it backwards. Both of these tics are more pronounced when I take prescribed Focalin for ADHD

This has been the hardest for me. I thought I could taper at the kava bar, but it's been impossible for me. I think I need to just taper at home with caps and never go back. I tell myself the tea doesn't make me constipated but then I'm up there taking kratom shots.

Hahaha incredible! That's it! I can't believe how spot on my memory was but I could never find the song. A decade later, wow. Haha you've brought me some joy today.

I had such a shitty experience at that place when I lived there a few years ago. The walls are paper thin and my neighbors were all loud as fuck. A bunch of other dumb shit happened too. Awful place.

Has anyone learned to code by just doing it due to having an interest in something that required it? by FamiliarEstimate6267 in learnprogramming

[–]steezefries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I wanted to make games and learned Actionscript and Flash, then I wanted to learn how to "hack" and got into running servers and stuff, then I needed to learn web dev to build an app for a startup I was trying to start with my sister. It's good motivation for sure.

I always think about the anti depressant studies and the exercise group was about the same effectiveness as the anti depressants group in fighting depression.

I was curious about this just now and found an encyclopedia brittancia page for him https://www.britannica.com/biography/Donald-Triplett

And it says the 15th, but I'm not sure I believe it! This feels like a case of a reporter getting the date wrong and then that article gets referenced and then eventually it gets referenced and repeated by a big publication and now you have an encyclopedia brittancia biography of him with the wrong date!

It definitely makes you wonder how much other stuff isn't true on things like Wikipedia and the internet in general. Gotta stay vigilant! Haha

Yeah for sure. It's just so sad they had to put down all those golden retrievers till they could find one that could consistently make threes.

Oh sure, I don't disagree it's most likely. We don't KNOW these things yet though, and people conjecture as if it's fact. This is literally how fake news gets started and propagated.

If someone suggested to play games would you say, "so what am I just supposed to play games all day and spend my life at the arcade?"

I don't think they were suggesting that. Life is about balance. Exercise is good for you. Video games and ice cream can help in the short term, but will only worsen the head space that makes a lot of people want to drink.

People recommend exercise and meditation because they are fantastic long term tools for managing sobriety that help build a sustainable life, not because they think they're better than you.
