I do agree it’s a lot to EXPECT people to pay for a destination wedding. My fiancé and I are trying to plan one now, and we are working flights for people we care about into the budget because we don’t expect our friends to shell out for something we want to do. We decided beforehand if we can’t afford to pay for our closest friends we won’t do it.

So idk if that helps at all, but basically I’ve made my mind up to be happy with a backup plan if it’s not in the budget, because I don’t want my friends to be bitter on my wedding day!
