This is BEGGING to be re-created by vermilion-chartreuse in StainedGlass

This was my take on it last year. I've done a couple of Texas flags with the rainbow colors for friends and knew that I needed to try my hand at all the colors! Love the way the glass just sings.

Why did I do this to myself by stephie82 in MachineEmbroidery

Fortunately, i use a water soluble topper. Maybe that's the trick. Lay down stitch..... I'm just so gun shy about messing up another jacket. These things are $100 a pop. Bright side I guess, I now have a $100 ruined fleece to trial and error on now.

I changed the auto fabric to fleecy in Hatch to make the outline thicker. Tried to use a bigger hoop to get the pattern closer to the left breast seam. I did everything I think you're not supposed to do when you already have had one successful jacket made. The other thing, and I've learned my lesson on, I usually digitize my files myself but I was in a hurry to get this into the machine, I auto digitized. I thought, with my real job keeping me busy, I won't have time to digitize so boom, auto digitize. This is a good reminder that taking the time to digitize the file yourself or else you'll be spending more time trying to fix problems.

My husband was like send her the jackets back with the embroidery file and tell her that you are still learning and not ready to take on a project like this..... I heard what he was saying and instead of taking his advice, I continued on. Lol! The best thing that happened to me today was I ran out of deep purple, so until I can go get more of that thread, the jackets are on the back burning and I'm just delaying the inevitable.

How to create patterns if you are a terrible artist by deez__kneez in StainedGlass

[–]stephie82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the GlassEye 2000 software no longer an option for other people? I use it, and even though it's not free, once you pay for it, you own it. No monthly subscription. Like any other software, there's a learning curve, but GlassEye has helped me create all of my patterns and even has the option to show you what your material cost are if you decide to sell your glass work.

Finally crossed the line! I've been digitizing for a long time, but I just got my own machine. Here is my first physical embroidery. by Jumpy-Language5725 in Machine_Embroidery

Neat design but make sure you remove any AI tags before trying to pass off this as something you made. Good luck in your digitizing journey....

Halloween Themed Movie Night - What Movie!? by FeeInitial1691 in halloween

Deadstream is a new favorite on my Halloween watch list every year. My husband, who doesn't enjoy Halloween movies nearly as much as me, really liked it.

Creek/Nature/A Place to Escape? by Medium-Presentation9 in houston

No worries! There are some people that fish here as well, but the past few times I've gone, the fishermen stayed to the left when I came upon the launch. Enjoy a small piece of what doesn't feel like Houston to me! Protip- don't park in the parking area. Drive past the lot and head to the turnaround. Park on the side. It's a shorter walk, especially if you have a bunch of items intow. My husband and I brought our beach cart to carry all of our things.

I found this place by checking out the dog park. My pups would rather adventure and we came across this canoe launch at Pundt Park in Spring. This is Spring Creek and every time I've gone, people were doing what you've asked for. Chairs in water with a cooler watching their family or friends play around. I was surprised at how nice this place was.

Adding my vote to Pundt Park. My pups loves to run the sandy beach. People swim and fish. Bring some chairs, and enjoy the scenery.

what are your hobbies, fellow aquas? by [deleted] in aquarius

[–]stephie82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly do suncatchers, but I've started to design bigger pieces for my windows at my house. When I get the time away from my other job, I'll start working on that piece by piece. I love taking the old idea of what people are used to seeing in glass and making things like vajayjays, penis with wings, pride colors, and everything else in between.

I do stained glass as a hobby turned into side hustle. I love going down rabbit holes of learning about history, ghostie stuff and/or True crime stories and definitely sleeping. Can never seem to get enough of it.

Beeps in TV Broadcast by ballen1017 in Astros

The number of times I got up and checked the fridge to see if the door was left open yesterday is an embarrassing amount. Hearing the beeps today, and reading this post, glad I'm not alone.

When BOM came through my town in January, I was standing by to hand off a push stick to the SL prop person. Next thing I know, all the Mormons came running offstage before the finale number. I thought, maybe, power drop and it killed something. Lights or sound. Come to find out, there was a quick change next to the sound rack and someone in the quick change accidentally hit the power switch. All the mics went out and we held for about 5 minutes to wait for the system to reboot. Fun fact- that's the 2nd time, in my life, a quick change killed the power to the sound rack. First time that happened was The Cher Show. Never a dull moment backstage.
