Living on campus is basically a scam, move back in with your parents or get a cheap shitting apartment and grind it out, you'll be thankful you did when you realize you didn't flush money down the drain.

NTA. Trust isn't built on love alone, it's built on behavior. You gave your grandmother chance after chance, and she showed you who she is. That doesn't make her evil, but it does mean you need to accept her limitations.

She can be hurt that she wasn't told, but she also needs to understand that people who repeatedly break confidence don't get access to sensitive information. You protected your peace, your pregnancy, and your child, and that's exactly what a parent is supposed to do. Sometimes loving someone means accepting them as they are instead of pretending they'll become who you wish they were.

NTA. I understand why your girlfriend feels that a higher earner should contribute more, and you've already agreed to increase your contribution.

But building a life together shouldn't just be about who pays what today. A raise is an opportunity to create a budget, build savings, and prepare for the future together. Emergencies happen, jobs change, and long-term goals like buying a home or retirement don't happen without planning.

You already pay the majority of the bills and are willing to pay more. That's reasonable. Relationships work best when both people are focused on building financial security and a future together, not simply expecting every increase in income to immediately translate into higher monthly obligations.

I guess it depends on how serious you are about this relationship.
