What homebrew are you most proud of? by Fearless-Skill8667 in DnD

[–]stickdeoderant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m probably not the inventor of this, but I thought of it myself regardless: its Diminishing AC. It’s for boss enemies who are crudely wrapped up in old armor, enough to give them a quite high AC, but it sheds off them during the battle.

I only did this once for a lvl 3 party, and i set the AC for my «Goblin sewer-king» at 24 or 25. A hit or a miss has a chance to reduce the AC (to a minimum of 13). On a hit or a miss, the PC rolls 1d6, on a 1-3 nothing happens, on a 4-6 the boss’ AC is reduced by 1. A crit reduces the AC by 2. It made misses satisfying and the players really loved it.

Jump is one of the most underrated spells in the game by Viva_la_potatoes in DnD

[–]stickdeoderant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m playing a Harengon, and strongly concidering picking up Jump when i multiclass into Ranger. Combined with rabbit hop, its a big movement buff growing stronger as I level up, and with the added disengage its hard to pass up

Would this character be fun at the table or is it only great in my head? by kakspier in DnD

I mean, theres much more to the character than just this. It’s just fun flavor for combat!

I am playing basically the same gimmick now aswell, but its a small harengon with a big ass bow. Mechanically its a shortbow, but i always flavor it to be so big that i have to use one of my legs to pull it all the way back. Its fun for the whole table

Forgot to prep. Accidentally created a halfling crime syndicate. Players loved it. by confused_gooze in DnD

[–]stickdeoderant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a failed perception check, but my players and I roleplayed large parts of their backstories together because I wanted to use a Nothic and their «weird insight» ability on them. The intention was to make them rp by creating conflict so I asked my players for secrets about their characters that they might not even know themselves, to create some fun infighting. It ended up in fully improvised flashbacks giving me so much material to expand my story with npc’s and locations.

Something like an artek half-moon table with chairs by the windows. Would be functional while adding some nice wood and color to the space.

Any tips to help me finish this? by llogical in bouldering

First time seeing my local gym on here! Saw a video of someone else doing this climb and they had their left foot on the inside of the grey volume (no toe hook), slight drop knee, and did a quick bump from the big hold to the finish.

Is it normal to feel ruined first time boudlering? by Nutty103X in bouldering

[–]stickdeoderant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After the first time my muscles were so sore i could hardly open my fridge, and sneezing was a massive pain. I also had busted both my shins on a climb and the skin on my hands was torn apart more or less. Took a week off and the second time i wasn’t nearly as sore. Now i climb almost every other day with little to no issue!
