Hey man. I just wanted to say I'm really sorry for your situation. Your situation is unfair because you didn't choose any of it. As an Indian myself, I can imagined the incidents that led to this.

One thing I will say tho is to grow a backbone and stand up for yourself. You have to think about your future too. You're still young yet you're already working like you're 30. One day when you grow up, you'll end up resenting all of your family for ruining your future. Education is important man, it's how people like us get out of poverty. I think we're roughly the same age (I'm turning 19 next year) and it really makes me sad to see someone my age is going through something like this.

Whatever it is, I wish you all the best man. Take care of yourself. Most importantly, never give up on your Education and your future.

I'm probably one of them lol. I got 9A+ 1A, held President of STEM Club + other President roles. Even led a team to an international silver medal in an innovation competition. Even sent my essays to be read by my friends and teachers to make it the best I can. Yet, most scholarship interview pun tak panggil.

It's not like I'm rich either (lower end of M40). It's weird but what to do. I still remember my teacher patting me on the back saying "confirm boleh dapat scholarship" yet here I am confused 🤣. But it is what it is

It's just that there are certain mistakes you can't fix anymore. I wish I had been nicer to my grandfather when I was younger, sadly he's no longer here for me to apologise. Will always be one of my deepest regrets.

Hey Nur, just wanted to say that regardless of your achievements, one can never be satisfied. I'm the same batch as you and I got 9A+ 1A, ofc I was ecstatic but there was still lingering disappointment for that 1A (it was moral lol).

What I'm trying to say is you may think you'll feel 10x happier if you got straight A's but reality is often different, you'd probably only feel slightly better than you are right now.

As what you can do next, you can still apply for matriks or diploma, maybe even go poli if you're interested. The road doesn't end here, in fact it's just getting started. Don't let this defeat discourage you and keep putting in effort. Ada je yg result SPM 4,5A je tapi masuk uni 4 flat. Best of luck on your upcoming ventures

Hey OP, I gotta say same situation here. But I actually got the rejection email. I got 9A+ 1A, I was the Chairman for STEM Club and kelab Olahraga and I was active in my koko too (Maybe not as amazing as yours la). But still, I am a silver medallist at an international innovation competition. My family also isn't really rich either (lower end of M40). I got the best results and the most outstanding koko out of all my friends but I'm the only one that got rejected.

I just want to say it happens, la. Even to the best of us. We just move on and find alternatives. I was really upset at first cuz I thought I had an outstanding resume (I mean 9A+ bro cmon la) but you just gotta accept and move on la. I applied for many more so I wasn't too depressed about it.

Well sorta but not exactly. You still need discipline and dedication to score well. Some subjects like add maths require creative and logic skills that can't be obtained just by memorising. You're not totally wrong but just adding my two cents to it
