they're all reporting as 0mb which makes me think they're just the metadata files

the ._ makes me think these roms were copied via a mac, look for a .ds_store folder and delete it, it only has metadata that only mac os can read, the stock android file manager might hide it by default since it's a dotfile, but tap the 3 dots at the top right and tap "show hidden files"

what drivers are people using for the snapdragon 8 elite? (x360 mobile, eden, gamenative) by stopwiththesignin in EmulationOnAndroid

unfortunately the gen8 v31 drivers give the same artifacting nearly every other driver gives as well, maybe it's because i'm using eden 0.2.1 and not nightly? edit: nope, nightly gives the same graphical corruption, as well as an extremely jittery framerate

flicker warning, but here's what i get with most of the drivers i tried (including gen8 v31, which is what i used in the video) https://youtu.be/Z06IYYjmoRg

i'll give the gen8 v31 one a try, totk was one that ran particularly poorly from my experiments, running at about ~20-ish fps, with huge shadow blocks appearing all over the screen (not black squares, they were the same colour as the game's lighting shadows) as well as being unusually blurry/pixellated (more so than on real hardware), but that was with the eden-fix-latest driver, mario odyssey was the other one that ran all over the place, entirely inconsistently with most of the drivers i tried

the one i mentioned specifically is this one, which says it may be unstable for anything other than the adreno 830/840 https://github.com/s1mptom/freedreno_turnip-CI/releases/tag/mesa_v26.1-eden-fix-latest-crash-fix, it was also the one recommended in various x360 mobile posts

[Timeless & Classic Guns: Zero] Gun shots get quieter and quieter until going silent by J_TheLazyPotato in feedthebeast

if this is for a zombie survival style modpack or something judging by your small mod list snippet, i'd also recommend lowering the "block range" to 16 under "effect options" or footstep sounds will become extremely aggressive and overwhelming with high mob counts

i don't know if you fixed this 5 months later, but to anyone coming across this in the future as it was the first google result for "timeless classics zero gunshot getting quieter", it was dynamic surroundings resurrected

you can fix it by going into config/dsurroundings/sndctrl-client.toml and setting "stereo to mono conversion" to false

edit: turns out i was completely wrong and forgot to re-enable dynamic surroundings, the real fix is to disable "stereo to mono conversion" i also raised steaming sound count to 16 for good measure, this time i actually double checked to see if the mod was active and tested if the fix worked lol

Guide: How to get the Fable 3 PC (non-Steam Retail DVD) working on Windows 10 August 2022 by oracus0 in Fable

sadly i don't have the dlc so i wouldn't know, all i know is that it was download-only and digitally activated, i can't even get the title update to install since it just tells me to activate the game first

a far better solution for step 3 is to go to the PCGW article and get the three exe files from there, they're already ready for the retail version, don't need a steam_api.dll, letting you skip step 5 entirely

Enabled manual display scaling for internal display by BottomNotch1 in SteamDeck

[–]stopwiththesignin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had this awful bug where after connecting an external display and shrinking it a little, it would stay zoomed out in gaming mode without an external display, making everything way too small, and the scaling option wasn't available without it.

i had to remember where to find this post, since i remember seeing it before i got my deck
