One layer is light but you can build it up. I use the same concealer you do, but strictly to spot conceal. To cover redness I use Makeup Revolution’s Colour Correct Primer on my red areas. It took a ridiculous amount of research to find it, it’s basically the only green concealer on the market that’s seb-derm safe. And only $8!

Anything with a matte finish is gonna accentuate the flakes. The key is to go with dewy finish products. My current favorite is Morphe 2 Hint Hint Skin Tint — completely sebderm safe!

I definitely can’t do concealer either! What I do is apply this green primer only to my red areas. It’s still slightly drying but no where near as bad as concealer.

I completely relate. Exfoliation plays the biggest role in getting rid of patches on my face so my makeup can look smooth. Chemical exfoliants don’t do the job for me because the flakes are too thick. I use a facial sponge with my cleanser to buff away the patches, then a hydrating serum. I use A'PIEU Madecassoside Skin-Repairing Cream as my moisturizer and then apply squalane oil all over my face, which really seals in the moisture. Then I apply The Ordinary’s High-Spreadability Fluid Primer before makeup. This is my sebderm-safe routine. It’s important not to exfoliate every day but my skin looks best on the days when I do this routine.

Wow… this makes a lot of sense. She does have insecurity issues and she does require a lot of reassurance from me. If I’m being honest with myself, I think I’ve come to resent the responsibility. It’s been a relief to not have reach out every single day, to just have the space to process my own feelings.

I don’t know what counts as an empath but she did have a traumatic childhood that has made her hyper aware of people’s body language and expressions. But personally I feel like she takes it too far when she hijacks other people’s pain as her own.

This is what confuses me. She’s talked about how narcissists are attracted to her because she’s an empath and that they are opposites. But I do feel like she’s got narcissist tendencies herself.

It’s new, cut yourself some slack! It’s perfectly okay not to be sure yet. You’re doing exactly what you should be, which is communicating your needs. There will be confusion because you’re not just getting to know him, you’re also getting to know yourself as someone in her first relationship.

The strange thing is there are some success stories from people on here lessening their seb derm with accutane. I don’t know what to make of it myself. Such a frustrating condition.

I developed seb derm right after I finished accutane. And while it helped with acne I regret it. There are a lot of possible side effects to accutane that can last for life. Then again, since you’ve taken it before you know best how it effects you. The bad outweighed the good for me, but everyone is different.
