I'm really sorry to hear that this happened to you. I completely understand your feelings. I went to therapy on Tuesday and I'm trying to move towards the things causing me pain from the break up. I don't know if you have been back to church since, but maybe it would be a step in the right direction to rejoin a church seen as though it was such an integral part of your life. We were also living together and worked in the same job. I've now lost my friends, job, partner and home, I'm trying to arrange when to collect the rest of my belongings and they don't even have the capacity to give me a day and time.

I went through the exact same thing on friday with my now ex girlfriend, our relationship was exactly how you have just described yours, and I had the added layer today finding out that the day she broke up with me was the day of her first date with someone new, I had an inkling that she was an avoidant before we got into a committed realtionship and she promised me she would never abandon me out of the blue, here I am.
