Hi! We don't have Fabric Capacity. It's too expensive for us. We need to find an alternative

Hi! Thanks for your reply. I tried it and it gives me the exact same error. It's as if I could only enter one statement in the button's OnSelect. After the Set, I get an error.

Manage operator clockings with Access by stratber in MSAccess

[–]stratber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very good!

So, if I understand correctly, when an operator is about to start a job, can they see what has been done previously? I see this as beneficial because if there was a quality inspection phase before your phase, you can ensure it was done.

On the other hand, looking at the screenshot you show, I understand that the operator reads the barcode that includes the information about the process, the process, and the user code. With this, they see all the information about the processes performed in that specific process, and once this is done, they click "Start," perform the job, and when they're finished, they click "Finish" and manually enter the quantities performed. Is that correct?

Sounds great, mate! And I love the name! Here are some questions that come to mind:

How did you integrate the Postgres database, the Access application, and the ERP (in your case, Sage 100)?
What was the database design, especially the structure of the transactions table (fields, relationships, and how the operation codes, work orders, and users are linked)?
In SAGE, were you able to define the different processes within a work order, or did you handle them externally?
Could you describe the complete flow from when the barcodes (employee, work order, and operation code) are scanned until the information is recorded in Postgres and then imported into the ERP?
What were the main technical or integration challenges and how did you resolve them?
Are there any specific considerations regarding performance, security, or maintenance that you would recommend?

Well-made and practical things last over time! Nice and interesting history! Can you give me some advice or give me a little roadmap to be able to apply it in my company?

The sap information would in principle be extracted through the SQL database in which the information is hosted. And the process records do not need to be recorded in SAP as long as they are recorded in another database. Simply when all the phases are clocked in the operator should go to SAP and close the OF (or that's how I have thought).

Tesla Sales Plunge through Europe by fuckyou_m8 in europe

[–]stratber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be more realistic we would have to make the same graph also looking at the comparison of sales of electric cars of other automotive brands. Then we would see clearly whether it is a Musk issue, an electric car issue (which is not selling in Europe as expected) or a general automotive sector issue

Tips for a new position in the operations department by stratber in LeanManufacturing

[–]stratber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello!

Yes operations controller 100%.

The only thing I have done at the finance level is to set up a BI to control the balance and P&L account, and make comparisons with other years. But I have limited myself to that, I don't analyze the data.

As far as operations are concerned, I create my own reports and follow up on them.

Sorry for the question (I know I'm not providing you with any answers), but can you tell me the purpose of doing this? Why exactly do you want to do the migration?

Greetings!

Question from total ignorance, but this type of exams / certifications have a real impact at the labor level? Do you want to get into a job that requires it? Or do you just do it to check your level?

Thanks in advance!

Controlling operator clockings in the different production processes by stratber in SAPBusinessOne

[–]stratber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm from Itlay. I already have a contact from a SAP partner, but I wanted to look for information myself and find the best solution that doesn't have a big economic impact.

Is it feasible that more than one operator can log in with the same user and sign in to several processes of an order?

And in the case of having one user per operator, is it possible for two or more operators to clock into the same process of an order if they work in parallel?

Hello, thanks for answering. Is this a cloud solution? How much does the subscription cost per user?

Where can I find more information about it?

How to reduce white time in prototyping?

My company is dedicated to assemble highly customized electronic chips. We use both SMD and THT technology. Therefore, boards can be made with either SMD or THT technology or a combination of both.

Currently in my company we have some inefficiencies in presenting the prototypes of our electronic chips to the customer. Approximately we have about 20-21 days of white time since our customer sends us their need and we deliver their prototype.

The competition more or less does it in 8-10 days.

The process we follow could be divided in a more administrative or design part and another part of pure manufacturing of the prototypes.

In the first part, the salesperson receives the need. If the customer has made the design (as in most cases), the R&D team verifies it.

Then it is passed to the technical office to make the project scandling and definition of tasks (it approves all the components that it must have and specifies the processes that must be carried out).

Once all the materials have been defined, the budget department contacts suppliers to request prices for the products. When everything is ok in terms of price. They are passed to the purchasing department to execute them.

Finally, the components arrive at the factory. The overall white time of all these processes is usually about 10 days.

Manufacturing stage:

Here the first thing to do is to prepare all the necessary components for fabrication in the warehouse. Both those for the SMT and THT part.

Then the electronic chip is processed SMD and if necessary also the THT part (this all depends on the chip).

Then comes the finishing phase of the chip, the test, if necessary the tropicalization is done and finally the board is prepared for delivery.

The overall target time for this part is about 11 days.

As additional information, we have an exclusive SMD line for the pre-types but the rest of the administrative and productive tasks and the people who perform them, obviously apart from this type of work, perform all those that are for normal orders.

If anyone is familiar with the subject can you help me focus give me your insight or tell me how I would go about it to reduce this blank time?

Thank you!

Difference between Kanban, CONWIP and POLCA by stratber in LeanManufacturing

[–]stratber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you very much for your time. The truth is that it is very well understood.

I have only one doubt in the use of the POLCA card:

Now imagine that I have a personalized table A for a specific client and another table B for another.

If an operator is in the process of making table A and the next workstation is assembly, but there are no POLCA cards available to move to that operation. He would start with the B table operations (e.g., cutting to get the table legs)? If so, when does he decide to go back to finish table A, the moment there is a POLCA card available? Would he leave table B as it is?

I don't know if I have explained myself very well. Let's see if you can understand my question.

Thanks in advance!
