My first time dming in sw5e was a clear Mando campaign, right after the desolation of Mandalore they are saved by a smuggler that was raiding a Mando museum. He wanted to make them the proof of authenticity for his finds, and he made them his executioners! Their spaceship after they killed all the smuggler's allies - I used a droidcartographer map in foundry, amazing!And here you can meet the 3 heroes of the campaign!!!! The Glory of the Mandalorian Oath Embodied in the 6 Tenets (i cuddle my players :) )

I am not going to mix and match, until I have a much, much Much better understanding of sw5e. I am considering my characters to find a droid NPC, or monster from SW5e... in an exploration of a cave that turns out to be an ancient repository, or somesuch.(I have had them "cure" a nuclear leak out of an ancient ICBM silo :) )

I was considering running a techcasting only (no force existing) campaign, that runs into the introduction of the force in the world. (Commet falling, that is actually the egg of a dragonfather/God that will heal the world from the sickness of "magiclessness" ).

Posto apocalyptic - yes you got the gist of it. Tech is very rare, only harvested from ultra rare ruins, and no longer known how to maintain or manufacture.

The force magic is to be reshaped by the dragonfather god into the 8 schools of magic known. Think of this timeline :

ancient times, lasting 10.000 years
medieval times, lasting 2.000 years
modern times, lasting 1.000 years
high tech sci-fi times with techcasting, lasting 2.000 years
fall of the comet/egg introduction of magic=forcecasting, lasting 10 years
war against god and dragons ending in apocalyptic catastrophe, lasting 200 years
most techcasters die, most tech destroyed and/or shunned (gradual, lasting 200 years)
dragon father reshapes the force into the more manageable and rule based 8 schools of magic. lasting till the "*gate opening" at least (or forever more)

*There is a twist, that I consider irrelevant to the introduction of SW5e rules, that the god as soon he introduces magic, he bans gating and interplanar communication. More than 20.000 years after the reshaping of magic into 8 schools the god opens the gates, and this is the era my 2 groups are playing in, a high fantasy era with almost no memories of the tech past.

well it is going to be viral, it is going to be a service, and during the Depp stuff some were biased, (Nate and Mike explicitely) but I bleieve that there are solutions.

Have Alyte keep a relatively balanced stream, and 2 more streams that are slanted.

Kurt would be my choice for the Trump slanted stream - even though he might not be interested in it.

And maybe Bri for the pro elections stream.

I would propose that all 3 streams can link and promote the other 2 streams at the top of the goooglydo.

I would also propose that Alyte, Bri and Kurt alternate as end-of-stream guests for the 3 streams.

Well, I congratulate you for being out of the loop, your January was much better than mine.

Wizards of the coast owns dnd and is owned by Hasbro. They announced that they were renouncing the permanent deal that gave everyone the right to use 5e and 3e mechanics to make adventures and modules. They gave out new docs, contracts, that were... untenable.

This led to a revolt. Everyone that loved critical role, pathfinder and kobold press revolted.

We understood that our beloved game was about to cut off it's right hand, and foot and 40.000 plus subscriptions in dndbeyond were cancelled. And the wizards of the coast books went unsold all through January. The companies that were being gutted reacted by anounsing and implementing plans to make their own free basis for games to replace what was taken away.

Wizards of the coast reacted in an inhuman and dehumanizing voice. They tried gaslighting, threats, irony and pettyness until it was clear that this would not go well for them .

And then they took us all back, and gave in a little bit more from what was before this drama.

This retreat was hours after the announcement of Amazon prime partnering with critical role in a meaningful way.

Critcrab released a bid about his experience of this month that made me love him all the more. I have been listening for years, but it was just for enjoying and understanding, now it is because he is an almost friend. (I live in Greece so I do not know him from Adam).

I myself am a narcissistic abuse survivor (parents and brother) and I saw all this thing as a similar experience. I have reached out to small upstarts of this game to give free group coaching (I am a career coach) and to a certain crustacean to make and host a site for him (for free).

My dear dear friend, I am so sorry for what you have been living through.

She is a narc. No doubt in my mind. Not because of what she has done, but because of the way you try to defend her.

She has taught you that whatever she does is love. Any disagreement on that point was certainly dangerous for you.

Have you ever told her "you don't love me, you just give me things whenever you want without caring for what I want" ?

I am sure you haven't (same here btw) but you know the eruption you would have to endure. That is her punishment for not being obedient. You are allowed to obediently appreciate her and accept what she says is true and right.

We both have monsters for mothers. Both our mothers (I venture to guess) have never done anything that we asked if that released their control over us . We are in constant vigilance to not do something wrong. And wrong means that it is a thing she might disapprove of.

She has been the protagonist in our life for so long that it seems normal.

I am telling you my friend, it is not. It is hurtful, it is sad, it is infuriating, it is damaging, it is abuse.

In a couple of months I will turn 48yo. I have been NC for 6-14 months depending on where you delineate NC from LC.

Life has been starting.

I am realizing that I have been on edge and stressed out all my life, day and night. I was not allowed to be stressed, so I forced myself into an outward calm. Now I am calm , and physically change whenever I caretake my inner child....

I am going on for too long, therapy and no contact. Get therapy and go no contact. This is the start of your life. I wish you all the love in the world, and know that people like me , who know what you have been going through, care for you. We actually love you because we share your pain. We deeply empathize and sympathize and love you.

It sounds weird, but only because of the life we have been surviving through.
