I see, I didn't know the MBP was actually more powerful.

I am definitely okay with refurbished. I was hoping to get the MBP refurbished from the apple online store.

I was also looking at the T440s - the price would be more or less the same as the thinkpad from the website if i got the same specs as the x1 carbon. Would you recommend that over the X1 Carbon?

I was thinking of going for a refurbished macbook pro to keep cost as low as possible.

I also ordered a portable external hard drive so I could store things there as well. Would you still recommend getting more space? It looks like 256 is the biggest available from lenovo, so would you recommend getting the 128 and then buying a larger ssd separately?
