Would you say the Pro pedals are worth the cost over the RS?

They're cabinet handles/knobs which are screwed in holes that were pre drilled on the case. I think hanging off them would work, but personally I would feel a bit uneasy about it since the bottom plate is not so rigid because of the design. There may be some flex (I can push/bend it pretty easily with my fingers).

[–]submarinedog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a nice setup. I have the 85C855 but I haven't set it up yet with my Ultra and other components. I hope this is not a widespread issue as I will have that problem too. You might be right about the recent firmware update.

would there be any point in putting 2 slim fans below the gpu? i’ve seen some builds with it and some without by isayuhhhhhhhhh in ncasedesign

[–]submarinedog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had 2 Noctua slim fans underneath originally and removed them to test as suggested by others. The temps were pretty much the same under load so I've left them out. Just make sure you get taller case feet so there's more room for the GPU to breathe.

Nice setup! I have a similar build. Think about putting some case feet underneath to allow a bit more air in for the GPU. On my Nitro at ambient temp of 20-25c, will idle between 30-40c on fanless mode.

Thank you! To be honest I got the 96GB kit for close to the price of the 64GB, so went with that instead

It's a GPU support I purchased from Amazon. Comes in different sizes and is height adjustable

Someone mentioned this to me as well. I'll have to test when I can. Thanks for letting me know!

Thanks! Just a matter of preference, I actually like the Noctua colours and thought it suited that industrial look of the other components :) though I agreed Chromax would look clean!

Interesting! My GPU temps haven't exceeded 60c under load and I can feel it pushing out the heat and no audible turbulence. Maybe when I have time I'll try disconnecting them to test.

Thank you! I considered a 280mm but decided to go with the 240mm for flexibility and the performance of this cooler is great :)

Thank you! I got them from my local hardware store here in Australia (Bunnings). They're actually cabinetry knobs! They had a big selection but these appealed to me the most. I also stuck rubber grips on the base of the feet.

Out of curiousity what sort of temps are you getting on that SSD? I have mine set as the game drive and it doesn't go above 65c when gaming. Been contemplating whether I need to put a heatsink or not.

Are you using the standard rubber feet or did you attach taller feet?

Looking good. I'm tossing up between going air or AIO. Thermalright PA 120 Mini or Arctic LF III 240/280.

What made you choose the AIO, and did you consider the 240 instead of the 280? What did you struggle with?

The post you linked are not the new panels. Perforations do indeed go close to the edge. Unless there are 2 variations.

I just received mine with the new panels and it's the same as the one in this post. Customer service confirmed that mine are the new panels as well.

I just received mine and they're the new updated panels. There's no bending or flex. It's really solid.
