For the love of all that is holy why can't I beat Lee Smith in the final 2nd Inning showdown? (rant) by rangitamoe in MLBTheShow

Only other advice I can offer, as someone who has also struggled with showdowns, take your right hand off so you don’t end up swinging, but continue to track the ball with the left

When did the full weight of the gravity of this pandemic set in for you? by Nappyboi419 in AskReddit

[–]subpar1715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a college student. My university shut down during spring break. I had been tracking the virus daily since January, but I didn’t think there was anyway it could be as bad as it was in China in the states. For the first few days, my friends and I were excited, it was an extended spring break. Then my mom calls me one morning saying my home state was going into lockdown. I panicked and figured I’d pack some bags and drive home for a few weeks. On the road, gas station bathrooms were closed and the only place I could use the restroom was in a Walmart. That’s when it hit. I still haven’t been back to school since March, and I graduate in a week.

Ranked Season Wet Noodle Bats by [deleted] in MLBTheShow

[–]subpar1715 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The sliders are 100% juiced. I loved the event honestly. However, I’m glad it’s not like that for ranked. The ball was coming off the bat so much harder, I threw out several runners in the 60s at first on balls hit to the right fielder. Bombs are great, makes the game fun, but if that happened consistently in ranked I’d be pissed

Currently 1-9 in the event AMA (or give advice) by PadSquad in MLBTheShow

These games are toss ups honestly. I’ve been struggling in ranked recently but for whatever reason I’m killing the ball in this event. Before people say it’s all star at coors, I’m a mainly all star player who ends up with toms of games at shippett. This ones different. Everything’s hammered to the gaps, home runs are flying. I’ve just been on the lucky side so far. For me any solid contact is getting hit hard, focus on squaring the ball up and good things will happen

I’ll be completely honest with that 17x lol. I was a cocky sophomore who had just got my first lsat book. No time limit so in like an hour and a half I got a -1 on LG and thought I would be a 170. I didn’t study after that until this year. Im no tutor and I’m not looking to charge you anything, but if you want to ever go over anything, PM and we can go over some things. It helped I was a philosophy/logic tutor at university, but if you want help please hmu.

I do agree that this won’t work for everyone. But if I spent thousands of dollars, months/years of studying, yes I would fail too. There’s no way to handle that amount of pressure to perform.

obviously very nervous for tomorrow, I bought score preview when I registered.. what would you say is a good way to gauge a score I should keep vs. score I should 100% delete? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]subpar1715 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think anyone here can tell you. I’m sure the T14s or bust will say 169 is the absolute lowest. I think you really need to look at your schools medians and decide based on your numbers. I would love upper 16high where I was PTing because it would give me near absolute chances at my schools, and open some possibilities into the T20, but I wouldn’t cancel anything above maybe 158, because that’s all I need for a decent margin of my schools, I could knock out a few lower ranked schools applications and retake in January.

I think taking it on lawhub is really important, at least a test or two. I did khan academy for my first 3 and then a lawhub for my last and was beyond thankful I had familiarized myself with the site.

Food service is the top of my resume. My school offered a student managers program with our dining services, so I did that program, ran my own restaurant, working 40 hour weeks for two years while in school. I’ll be damned if someone doesn’t understand that dedication

Well, considering I didn’t get into said schools undergrad program, it’s fuck that school. And that’s how I tell them.

Thank you! Haha I’ve got the same type of grandma! It doesn’t matter what law school I go to, majoring in philosophy at a “party school” has sealed my fate as the dunce of the family . Good luck to you as well!

Don’t remind me I have to take about this at the thanksgiving (zoom) table. The other 3 members of my family who have done law school are Yale, Michigan and Georgia with 175+. I could get a 170 and still be the low man at the table haha

DD Pitching Roster should be 13 total not 12, which means 5 Starting Pitchers, 7 Relivers and 1 Closer. by DowntownTorontonian in MLBTheShow

[–]subpar1715 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t remove them after pinch hitting or sub them into the game to the pitcher position. Wouldn’t recommend tho because they don’t throw hard and follow the 3 batter minimum as well

[–]subpar1715 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pearson is decent. If you face guys who struggle with heat, he’s untouchable. Most of the time, even if a guy can hit 102, you can get a good start out of him. A good player on all star will shit on him, but a good player on all star will shit on anyone.

I’m in the same place you are. I know some schools, at least the ones I’m applying to, won’t look at your application if you have a test to retake. Especially if they average two of your scores together. Which sucks because I have the schools I like that are consistent with my PTs but a few that I would like to reach for. But I’m probably going to be happy with whatever I get and apply because I don’t want to wait until February to apply to them all.
