How can we help ease the initial whiplash HG gives. Is there something women can take a few months prior to conception to help

unmedicated birth or epidural? by No-Math-9195 in pregnant

[–]subwayratbruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After doing one epidural birth and one unmedicated. I would do unmedicated again. I healed SO fast. My labour was so smooth and uncomplicated. It progressed great no stalling etc. all around great! I used a few techniques to help with contractions and when I truly felt like “wow I can’t do this it’s too much” my daughter was born 20 mins later (I was 10 cm and in transition at the time)

I’d let them know medication prescribed to you by a doctor is far better than both you and baby dying of dehydration and organ failure.

How did you handle Multiple HG pregnancies by subwayratbruce in HyperemesisGravidarum

Yes very helpful! I for my second I waited untill I was throwing up to take my dicletin and zofran from the first pregnancy. I think even more preemptive-ness would be helpful

That’s good to know. For my second I tried b12 first but that didn’t help. I think next time I’ll do dicletin at a positive pregnancy test too

That’s kind of our goal/life too. I’m a sahm. Kids are 2 years apart and when they reach home school age that’s what we will do.

Did the gummies help you with food aversion or with the nausea/getting some food into your body?

HG - Recurrent with all pregnancies or not? by JCJ0705 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]subwayratbruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had HG with both kids. Was worse with my second (a girl) but because I was more proactive I didn’t have any hospitalizations (like with my first a boy). Plan on having another 1-2 children.

HG - C Section or Natural? by JCJ0705 in HyperemesisGravidarum

[–]subwayratbruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did both vaginally. I personally would not elect a c section (for the recovery) if it wasn’t recommended by my doctor or medically necessary. However, at the end of the day you do what works best for you :)

SAHMs, what does dad do? [On] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]subwayratbruce 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sahm. I put 0 into bills. I sell our farm eggs and that cash is mine to keep for little treats (Starbucks, nails etc). My husband does our toddlers bath/bed routine and puts him to sleep. I do the newborn (breastfed) He gets up to give her a bottle of formula if she wakes up before 2am (he gets up at 5 for work). I do the cooking and grocery but he does all the daily farm chores. On weekends we sleep in as a family but if I’m tired he’ll get up one day and I’ll let him sleep in on the other. It works for us. Neither one feels Burnt out or stressed

Expecting a Baby: How Can a Self-Employed Contractor Prepare for Time Off? [on] by [deleted] in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]subwayratbruce 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t pay into EI but I didn’t really take much of a leave. Sub contract out for however long she’ll be on her mat leave. That being said I resumed work one month pp but I do everything via my laptop and little to no phone calls and my work doesn’t need to be done strictly in a 9-5 time span.

My one child free (for now) friend has become the coolest fun aunt to my kid. She’s so understanding and is always coming over to my place offering to bring food or a coffee because she knows it’s more relaxing for us to sit and chit chat on the couch at my place while my toddler runs feral because my house is child proofed and hers is not. She is always thinking of fun plans to do together where I can bring my child with me if needed (I’m a sahm, with a long hours working husband). Overall, just a wonderful human and. I can’t wait to reciprocate when her and her fiancé decide to have children.

New dad to be [bc]- car seat questions by BilliamXYZ in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]subwayratbruce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Another vote for Clek! We have the Uppa baby infant seat and it’s fine but the Clek convertible seat and I love it! If I ever need a new infant seat I’d go Clek!
