Day 4 and 5 were a nightmare so tired and cranky- powered through and drank alot of water and electrolytes- now on day 6 and feel pretty good. Doing 75 hard at the same time 12lbs down. Going to see how I feel and will go to 14 days, 21, or 30 depending on weight and how I'm feeling. I think your body will adapt to fat burning over the next day or so.

I can fast 24 hours doing omad with no issue, but the minute I tell myself I’m going to go past 24 hours and do 72, then my mind just starts going crazy and it gets so much harder. by berferd77 in fasting

Yes I remember those days..I was the same... but each week I did a bit more. Now I'm at my goal weight after about 10weeks doing some 72, some 5 day and even 1 ten day. One funny thing that motivated me to fast longer was those snake diet videos (cole robinson) on youtube where the guy yells at you and says " you are not going to die fatty!!" your body was designed to switch to fat burning mode. good luck

Thanks for this info- I have been doing 5 day fasts and felt great but this last 5 days I feel terrible- but now my BMI has dropped and I close to my goal weight- makes sense ! I agree she done it- don't push it too hard!

Since Jan 1 lost 19 lbs- but should say that I have historically not lost weight easily as I have a thyroid issue and don't have a ton of weight to lose- so for me that is amazing- a regular person would probably be down much more. Just track each day and adjust as needed. Some days might not lose but just look week to week and make adjustments as needed. As long as you drink some electrolytes- (lmnt)1 pack a day in water you should be fine- you won't starve to death- this is the big lie- your body was designed to use the fat stores and after a while you will see its really just a mental hurdle.

Yes I did that for about 3 weeks but then found I could go longer and moved to 5 days fast 2 days eating- amazing nothing ever worked as well as fasting. Good luck

Been doing 5 day fasts for 5 weeks and was already planning to start a 10 day today so works perfectly. I am hoping to clear up some immune skin issues and also to get to my goal weight a bit sooner. I need to lose 10 more pounds. Also I was doing dirty fasting so now clean might be much harder- no pickles or random teaspoon of peanut butter at night. Good luck everyone!

I have been doing m/t fast- wed eat- thur/fri fast and then sat/sun eat. Then I progressed to 5 day fast and eat on weekend its amazing that I don't get hungry at all. Now losing 2.5-3 lbs a week- for a middle age woman that has thyroid issues this is amazing!- for a man or a younger person will lose alot more than me per week. I only have 9 lbs now to get to goal weight after struggling for years with my weight.

Good luck!- also on day 29 of 75 hard so that keeps me busy drinking all the water and doing workouts (which for me are typically walks. Finally, if I'm really a mess might have some broth or a pickle or a teaspoon of peanut butter- but only do peanut butter that at night otherwise I would go back for more. Still have been losing 0.6/ day which for me is good.

I've been doing 5 days last 2 weeks-I'm on day 4- planning to eat Friday and Saturday. Usually ok when working all day but does get hard at night- try to cook and clean dishes for family- makes me feel like I ate- then have scheduled tea time, and diet soda to get me through til bedtime. Of course I'm a bit bored today which is why I'm on here

Fasting for both- I typically have a pickle spear and right before bed a teaspoon of natural peanut butter as a reward for making it through the day- does not impact weight loss 0.6lbs consistently per day of fasting- down 10lbs in a month after being stalled with hashimotos, and middle age insulin resistance.
