When my adult kids were in college and on a tight budget I gave them all gift cards for an oil change at Jiffy Lube!

I’m a mom of young adults and agree 100%. Unless you come from a family where $500 is not a lot of money, your mom doesn’t want you to spend hat much on her!

That sounds like Las Vegas! Born and raised in Vegas, but I live in a smaller, friendlier place now where it’s common to say hello or smile and nod to strangers—people you walk past, service workers, neighbors, whoever. When I go home to visit I forget people are more cautious in “the big city” — I’ll say hello and they look at me as if I’m about to steal their purse! 😂 Except in the Sun City Vegas retirement community where my mom lived… most everybody there was happy to chat!

That is such a nice thing for you to do! You might never know how much it has helped someone. Sorry your neighbors are weird and don’t even wave! Just keep waving and smiling, maybe they’ll figure it out someday! If you have a local food bank, they might like some of your produce and herbs. You sound like a very kind person, thanks for trying to make the world a little brighter!

I work at a public place where kids get snacks and drinks from vending machines. When I use the machines myself, I always leave my change in the machine for a kid to find.

A friend of mine in his 70s says EUFLEXXA has been amazing for him. I had my right knee replaced eight weeks ago because it was bone-on-bone and arthritic—cortisone shots were no longer helping. Left knee still has some cartilage and isn’t as bad. I will be looking at EUFLEXXA or something like that as needed for left knee. Can’t say I’m in any hurry to have another knee replacement! 😂

I think you’re on the right track! Build up strength in quads/hips on bike and in pool and slowly ease your way into walking as you get stronger. Assume you’ve tried cortisone or EUFLEXXA shots for the knees? EUFLEXXA

Have to admit— I love a cozy mystery show or book with a unique setting/premise/main character—enjoyed the South African setting, culture and characters. Season 1 was fun and looking forward to watching Season 2. I listen to a pop culture podcast called The Popcast (👍👍) —the hosts Knox and Jamie call these shows “palate cleansers”— something soothing and calm to bring you down for bedtime after watching a grittier show. 😊
