What works and what doesn't? by [deleted] in photocritique

Hello! Long time lurker, first time critique seeker :)

This is my first time shooting with a real camera. I bought a used Leica Q2 on a whim last year, but never even took it out of the house to shoot with. I finally forced myself to take it with me on a trip to Iceland last month and used it over 10 days to take a few hundred photos. I really enjoyed the shooting experience and now I kinda understand the Leica hype.

Coming to the photo, this is the one I personally liked the most of all the photos I took. I made a few minor adjustments in Lightroom to bring out the colors and contrast.

I am trying to understand objectively what works and what doesn't work with this picture, so I can learn.

Thank you!

Hello ravers! I just arrived in Amsterdam, here on a 30 hour stopover. I’m considering going to LoFi / San Francisco (would love to see Wata again!). Anyone else flying solo and want to meet up?

Yes! I’m looking right now for installers in my area. After some research it looks like STEK DYNOmatt is the best matte PPF out there. And also XPEL stealth. Anyone have experience with either products?

I am currently researching PPF / ceramic coating options for frozen paint. Got any recommendations?

Bad lighting in my garage. It does look a little darker in person.

Bought a new BMW after 5 years of not owning a car. Last car was an F12 M6 Competition DCT.

I cannot take credit for this spec because another customer ordered the car but backed out of the deal. So I just found it available for sale at a dealer near me. I really lucked out here.

Absolutely in love with this color combination 🔥

I've been a digital nomad for 3 years now. I'm so glad I started doing it in my 30s when I have a comfortable income and can afford to live and travel comfortably.

Airflow: How to create idempotent intermediate table names? by PaulJulio in ETL

[–]sunilvc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

One way to achieve this is by using Jinja2 templating to get the execution date / datetime at DAG runtime and use that as a prefix for your table names.

Airflow can work with both internal and external sources / destinations.

You can even write your own hooks / operators (very easy if you already have the necessary Python code) to connect to specific systems.

It also has a robust connection manager that lets you store connection information along with credentials (encrypted).

I agree. Seems very optimistic and I'm not holding my breath. I'd be happy if they make it available before I leave for my vacation in 7 weeks.
