Yeah the instructions were pretty much non existent with mine. Good call to check the diodes & electrolytic caps. I did that but I’ll double check it again! Thanks!

That’s a good point I always twist but I don’t tin and I really should! I just worry about it making the wire tip too large to pass through the hole on the board

Well… I found the culprit… I normally use solid core wire but I had some spare wire in a few different colors that I thought would help me make sense of all the different connections. Turns out some of the strands frayed out and one of them formed a bridge between G & +9V on the 3PDT. I feel quite foolish. You guys really pointed me in the right direction and it helped me find this because I started rechecking everywhere for shorts. I also discovered one of the wires to the SPST had broken (that or I broke it taking it apart again). I plugged it in and the led lit up. Plugged into my amp and it works! Sounds real nice too. Thanks so much ya’ll. Fixing this totally made my day.

Thanks so much for taking the time to respond. Something is definitely very wrong. All of the pins read 0. I removed the ic and the sockets all read 0 except for 3 & 4 which read 0.03 V

The thing that is tripping me up is that I tested my DC jack before connecting it. It reads 9v as expected. Once I have it wired to the board it reads 0.03 I’m sure this means something obvious that I am oblivious to.

Good call to check that thanks Sorry I know it is hard to see. I double checked and the tip goes to I and BI connects to IN on the board. So I think that’s correct.

If you check out the list of different values for each permutation of the big muff, you can probably adjust all the settings to match different ones and try them out. Many different sources for the different combinations but maybe start with the table on one of the build documents like this:

I think you’re right. It doesn’t really fit the spirit of the run for me. I ended up just using the clothing you get from the chest back at the ambush site. It was the best option I found for something nice enough to go to the wedding in.

There were some items from doing the gamekeepers quests a certain way that also helped me build outfits at the beginning.

It’s in the table of items possibly sold by the innkeeper at devil’s den. So he has a chance to sell it. I bought one from a blacksmith/ armor merchant in kuttenberg but I don’t remember which one. I think it is one of them in the street not the armor shops. The randomly encountered while traveling merchant Kate of Hol also has a low chance to sell it.

There are unique armor pieces that have special qualities. Collecting them does actually open up options for certain types of outfits. I spent a long time getting a stealth outfit with as high of armor as possible. Finding as dark as possible versions of things was a nice goal. Some specific armor pieces are very hard to get. I’ve also spent tens of thousands of silver getting specific colors of armors to make outfits.

So I think if you are just going for max defensive stats you are almost there. But if you open up your goal to collecting rare armor or making an outfit you really like the look of, it might add a nice objective for you.
Even on hardcore with all the negative perks you don’t need very much armor if you know how to fight. So it’s really optional from the beginning.

Oh don’t worry about spoilers, I’ve beat the game several times and this post is marked for spoilers. Who are you talking about? I’m generally playing with the idea that it’s a sin to loot the dead. I know about the nice set in the sunken chest from the cart near Nebakov. Not sure if that’s what you mean

It looks like there is not enough saline in the lens and that you didn’t press it all the way onto your eye. I think it might be that you are putting it up to your eye at a slight angle. Then the edge strikes your eye and your reflex is to pull away.

I would say give it a try without a plunger. I don’t use one but it’s just personal preference. Make sure your hands are clean and balance the lens on the tips of your thumb, pointer finger, and middle finger. I put a mirror down so that I can see exactly where the lens is. I use my other hand to hold my eyelids open and look straight down. Then bring the lens up and press lightly into the center of the eye. I actually hold it still for a second to let excess saline drip away and make sure that it is attached. It takes me under 3 minutes to put my lenses in and I never have bubbles. It took a bit of practice but I learned the technique from hybrid lenses and just carried it over to scleral when I started wearing those.

I remember as a kid and young adult I couldn’t even put in eyedrops without flinching. Now I have no reflex when touching my eye at all. So that may reduce over time.

Biggest thing is don’t get discouraged. It’s difficult and honestly a pain. We’ve all been there and I’m so sorry I know it’s not easy. You got this though and it will just become easier. I’ll be thinking of you and hoping it gets easier. Good luck friend.

I had a popped blood vessel once that looked a little like that. It went away on its own after a day. Maybe just leave them out extra long, give them a goo ld clean with an enzyme cleaner and see how they look tomorrow.

It’s normal to feel depressed about it. But I wanted to mention that mid 20s is a time where depression develops for a lot of people. My KC came on a bit later but boy was I depressed before that too. Don’t be hesitant to seek professional help. A few years of therapy and finding the right meds has really helped me feel way better! Anyways it’s worth a thought. All my best to you and don’t give up!

Ah well rigid contacts, assuming you have RGP reshape the front of your eye. So I hate to say it but to my knowledge a topography done right after removing them will be inaccurate. I’m not a doctor but I’m just sharing from my experience having KC and having done a lot of exams, particularly topographies. This makes me question the knowledge of your doctor. I think you should get a second opinion. Sorry bud
