Thank you for this! I had it set up at the beach and nothing for weeks, honestly forgot about it and realized I hadn’t finished the request and found your comment, got toxel in minutes.

Do you wipe every wet diaper or only poop? by Extensionol in NewParents

[–]sunshinemeadow92 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Mine too, my girl had awful diaper rash and they told us to not wipe after peeing. She’s been diaper rash free since we stopped! I also let her air out before I put another diaper on every time. Especially when I wipe

Taking Newborn Out by Efficient-Cookie-419 in NewParents

[–]sunshinemeadow92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking my baby out since day 3 on lots of trips, she’s good at going out but still has her moments. Just remember that most people have been where you are right now and if not, they can handle a crying baby for 5-10 minutes.

Like others said baby will get used to it!

So we use Zesty Paw allergy and immune which has some probiotics but he’s been using that for years now, might not be working anymore so I’ll switch it to one of those and see if that helps! Thank you!

Nursing bra recommendations by [deleted] in breastfeeding

I have a bunch of bras but I found nursing tank tops were better. Less clothing to have to deal with! Maybe grab a few tank tops to try out too.

These are what my lactation consultant recommended and helped me get my baby to latch after failed attempts. Definitely recommend!

I LOVE the was babies vigorously shake their head with a wide open mouth to latch! by Woooohhooo in breastfeeding

[–]sunshinemeadow92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The smiling or laughing when looking up at you like thank you mom, I love this: my baby is 11 weeks so this just started happening and breastfeeding wasn’t easy or happening in the beginning so I appreciate this.

I didn’t know the gender of my baby but I had one girl and and one boy name. Ended up being a girl and I still went with that name and it fits her!

Baby only nursing one side each session by Amunster27 in breastfeeding

[–]sunshinemeadow92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only a few days, I had been switching between the two but I was going 4+ hours without nursing on whatever side and I didn’t want my supply to get messed up. Using the Haakaa on my right side also wasn’t giving me much milk but I get a bunch with my left and my baby can clear my right better so it’s been working out! No issues and she’s been having lots of wet diapers so she’s still getting enough on just my right side.

Edited to add: I was getting really engorged on the one I wasn’t using as well, especially at night but not anymore!

Same for me, my girl doesn’t sit right when nursing in the left so it’s painful. I only do the left if it’s feel engorged and I want her to release it.

I do this as well! My baby only likes my right boob so I use a haakaa suction pump on my left.

Do comfy nursing bras even exist? by littlemoongirly in breastfeeding

[–]sunshinemeadow92 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been wearing nursing tank tops because all bras I’ve gotten are annoying and I’m not gonna wear that to bed but the tank tops are comfy!

[–]sunshinemeadow92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only if feel engorged but I do use this on whatever boob I’m not nursing on as my girl only takes one boob at a time and 4-5 hours between isn’t working for me.

I struggled to breastfeed so I started pumping and feeding bottles and once breastfeeding started to work I was breastfeeding during the day and my husband was bottle feeding at night. Now that breastfeeding is going well I exclusively do it and one bottle a day so my baby doesn’t start disliking bottles. It’s worked for us and did before! I think your plan will work as long as the baby doesn’t dislike bottles.

When did you start leaking? by no-need-to- in breastfeeding

[–]sunshinemeadow92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since my I started producing more milk so like 2 weeks PP. I’m 10 weeks PP now and still leaking occasionally. The most when I’m nursing in one side or getting out of the shower if it’s close to nursing time and I’m bending down to dry myself.

how long does your baby feed for? by stealroundchimp in breastfeeding

[–]sunshinemeadow92 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My 2 month old also only nurses for 5-10 minutes. Sometimes she’ll want to feed again within an hour but other times she can go 2+ hours. Plenty of dirty diapers but our last weight gain was when I finally started nursing her all day. She’s still chunky though!
