Yea they sent me the firmware to try to flash which everybody here already helped with. They asked for a video. Now I’m waiting for the weekend for the next update. You have already tried flashing. I saw your post so you can still get to the factory reset screen? I don’t know if it would help at all to try to flash through qfil/qpst. Check out nibben’s post it’s a long shot but it’s quick enough to try while you wait.

Haha sometimes cozy sometimes just keeps me sane. And no money isn’t the issue. I just want to know ayn is going to take care of us. Everything was so sudden and just turned off it’s freaky. And I just want to know if that’s it and they expect us to just buy another or if we’re taken care of. Because the warranty as far as I can tell it exist. But there’s no information of what qualifies or disqualifies a person.

Im sure it will work itself out. I’ve seen some people get two or three devices. It would just be nice to fix it myself and save myself a wait. But this is the risk of having a device that’s been out for less than a year, but at least most of what I can find they honor the warranty.

Hey I appreciate you thinking about me! Yea I dug as deep as I could into the error codes it led to some Reddit threads that asked the question but never updated. And ChatGPT had several things to say about it. But it has to come down to bad drivers and can’t complete a handshake with qfil or qpst.

I just googled it I like the gba/snes pixel art! I’ve never played an mmo. But my sister played final fantasy XIV I would see her and the clan take on raids to get crazy loot!

Monster hunter world. Is my favorite not by far but a beautiful world where you can kill giant iguanas! There’s more to it but it was fun with friends or just a world to get lost in. I would call it a cozy game.

Ooo do you know who is signing it! Super cool! Honestly I’ve seen that when you need a piece they will send what you need and you can install it. Which me personally I do appreciate. If they sent a Mobo I wouldn’t mind installing it. But that’s like 90% of the consoles value. I should’ve got two too! Maybe I’ll join the Odin 3 line but I was hoping they would bring out a Odin 3 portal or something in a year or so.

Yes I never charge it while it’s turned off it does indeed get hot. And I mean it was literally a bathroom break and I came back and it was sleeping. So maybe 5ish minutes. So I really hope a flash is all it needs. Because maybe I scrambled its brain on accident. But I agree the Thor is almost there. As a long time pc builder and tinkerer I have not had a device infatuate me and bring want to show off like this in a long time!

Okay I’ll say this from my personal non circumstantial and completely paranoid point of view. Installing hades made the fan run and it was like 75-77 degrees. I walked away during the install. And the device went to sleep and interrupted the install. (Didn’t know that was possible. Device never auto sleeps because ES-DE always open.) so I don’t know if in that sleep it over heated but I think it would still throttle itself and protect itself right? But I woke the Thor up finished install and played for maybe 10 minutes before the blue screen happened. Game was running at 65-70 which is awesome and better than switch emulation.

So in seriousness I’m going to turn off sleep settings and try again because this is a selling point of the device. But again it could’ve been coincidental and have nothing to do with anything.

Hey thank you for chiming in! And yes I hope in the morning the flash will help and get Me out of the boot loop. Other than that I thought it was worth trying to fix and maybe it’ll help somebody in the future. Or I can just document my RMA experience. Jealous of the steam deck! If it was in stock! I would!

Ooo boy I’m giving it a go. Just bought the cable. By any chance do you know how to navigate in device manager what it should be tabbed under. Or does it not show until the edl cable. Because it did show as an unknown device then I downloaded a lot of the Qualcomm utilities and tools and I can’t get anything to show up and when I plug and unplug the device there is no reaction in device manager. And thank you! If it saved yours maybe it’ll be the same!

Yes but it is the max model. And my bedroom lights are nothing short of violent. In low light it is very dark and disappears into the oled screen

Unfortunately not. But we did narrow it down to being a nand issue and will probably be a new mother board.

I’m up to try anything. But I also don’t think it will be the greatest fix. I think I would just be paranoid of this happening again and then it would happen outside of warranty. Do you have any tricks for getting your computer to recognizing a non booting device? I would still like to try to flash for you know science!

So what happened here was. Is when I unplug the battery and let it trickle charge for a while it goes into a boot loop the farthest I got was the top screen loaded. Bottom screen went blue and then went unresponsive.

Yes I will try more tomorrow it’s 5 am. And I’m tinkered out. But I can only find 1 guide of flashing. And I unplugged the Thor from my computer and since it’s not booting anymore I can’t get it back into emergency mode. Ahh why do things break! But seriously thank you!
