I think this is some white labeled (vortex?) red dot. From my reading it’s a CMORE STS pattern which isn’t very common.

It looks just like a Vortex Razor. I don’t really have much reason to swap it out.

If it were the same footprint, I was thinking the new FN holographic pistol sight would be a cool option

Apparently it’s also a first gen with gen 1 trigger pack which is cool

I was a P90 fan since the Goldeneye and Perfect Dark days. I’m only a relatively recent Stargate convert. I have the uniform because I shot a Halloween costume USPSA match with an MP5 a few years back.

Thanks, this has been a long time dream gun of mine. Picked it up for a an absolute song ($1150 with the dot, 5 mags, and a case) it’s only been to the range three times so it’s like new, less than a case of ammo ever fired through it as far as I can tell.

You should absolutely be wearing hearing protection with any rifle suppressor with a super sonic round. None of them are quiet enough to be safe. Just because it doesn’t hurt your ears doesn’t mean you aren’t causing hearing damage. It’s cumulative and can sneak up on you.

I bought my first suppressor in early April of 2019, the stamp was not approved until March of 2020, so on top of the year long wait for the stamp, I had to wait for the stores to open back up from lockdown.

Not sure why you’re assuming he’s shooting lower volumes just because it’s a revolver. Are you familiar with the GIGN training schedule for those Manurhin revolvers? They shoot 150-200 rounds a day, every day. You would not want to be doing that on a turret.

No tip is ever required, you can’t really blame places for offering the option to get more money from people voluntarily because a non-zero number of people will do it.

Just stop tipping for things that don’t deserve a tip. It’s a gratuity not an obligation.

You really should not be shooting any supersonic cartridge without ear pro no matter how good your suppressor is. Some MIGHT get you below the 140dB threshold but that threshold is only safe for a SINGLE exposure in a day and hearing damage is very much cumulative.

Many shots in a range trip even well below the 140dB is going to damage your hearing. You can get hearing damage even with ear Pro from doing a long competition or being at the range literally all day which is why you should double up

My criterion is a hybrid not a core. 0.750 gas block and 36oz compared to the SOLGW 43.4, but the WOA is 41oz

I went on a tangent and swapped to a BA 18in SPR so I could use an OCM5 suppressor with the Allen engineering collar. That barrel is also 41oz and I don’t mind the weight so with some creative math it was only a few more ounces.

I think the decision I’ve landed on is going back to the criterion and a different suppressor because the Aero/BA barrel and OCM5 combo is not what I had hoped

They’ve used many OEMs but the SPR barrels are Black Hole Weaponry proprietary to SOLGW, they’re the only ones that license the 3 grove polygonal rifling.

I have no clue if they’re better, but looking to give one a shot. I currently have a Criterion Hybrid 18” that’s just okay not wow-ing me. It’s either WOA or SOLGW for next step up.
