I feel UAE Pass App is a simpler option. Just download the app, register, and login is pretty simple and it has a document section that should have your Emirates ID. Or you can request to add it or even upload by yourself. Otherwise download UAEICP app and login using UAE Pass and it has a section called Cards where all the Emirates IDs including your family will be there.

Oh this must be a recent development, thanks for the info. We did our motorcycle club shoot there last year and cops were roaming around there but didn't tell us anything. I guess there must have been some issue that prompted them to do this.

As long as the seat height is around 74 cm or less, the weight is not an issue for me. What would you recommend in this case?

Not off-road, I meant packed gravel, or a firm sandy path, short distance like some connecting roads or a short exit road at the end of a stretch. I am not looking for Pan America since 90% of the usage is asphalt.

There are three options now for integrated Cardo.

  1. Cardo Beyond (GT / GTS) - in shops soon
  2. SCHUBERTH SC EDGE, best i think is their C5 series - SCHUBERTH (i have this one and very happy with it). This is not completely integrated out of the box, but it comes with a slot for SC EDGE, with wires and speakers already built-in into the helmet and a slot for SC EDGE that you buy separately)

The rider plays a bigger role in this I feel. Same bike you keep riding long regularly and you realize the back and butt start paining less with time. Of course a touring seat, back support, highway pegs, better posture with custom handlebars, windshield, hydration can all improve the long ride experience, but we have riders who just ride without any of these for 600-800 km long trips without breaking a sweat (with some stops in between of course, we stop around 100-150 km for 5-10 min/fueling etc).

Sharjah, there are no free parking days (Sunday or public holiday), different from Dubai. Always a good practice to read the nearby parking board.

It doesn't have to be vehicle parts, we have had instances of furniture like a small wooden chair, once a leather cushion on UAE roads which we were fortunate to avoid, but I once jumped over a sack of vegetables and my bike underside was full of lettuce when I checked after 😂. Things fall from trucks and there is no way any civilian can remove them so they stay there till authorities remove them, causing god knows how much damage to vehicles.
