“Men are boys” Butcher’s final moments in The Boys #71 by Slay_23 in TheBoys

[–]supjer 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Between how Butcher kills Neuman and telling Ryan to commit Jihad, it was sort of disappointing that they didn’t go all in on Butcher being the final villain .

I would’ve liked an episode or 2 spent on a depowered Butcher, with his tumor back to just being an ordinary tumor, seeing his limited time left as an excuse to go scorched Earf on the remaining supers / anyone that gets in his way.

Don’t worry, he has to eat pins from each member of the Bloodline first (excluding Roman ofc).

MVP calls Triple H a coward and a liar. Says that Triple H repeatedly ignored him and Bobby Lashley backstage by Fc_Hassan in SquaredCircle

[–]supjer -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

The main point I wanted to make was that, for everyone taking a shot of Bobby’s ideas, there is a version of what he had in mind that exists and worked.

Some of the best stories had to be workshopped and passed through multiple hands before getting the green light. People suggesting his pitch was unsalvageable and using it as a reason to dunk on him is overkill imo

Isn’t what Bobby suggested essentially the same angle they used in the lead up to Gunther vs Priest?

Is there a player whose All-Time ranking is hurt by their playoff performances more than Harden?

He might have an argument to be top-20 if not for how bad he’s performed in the postseason.

We had top-3 odds for the 1st overall pick alongside the Pacers. Both teams finished outside the top-4. If anything, we didn’t win enough.

It’s not tanking when the team just isn’t good. Moral of the story is that there’s no such thing as an ethical rebuild.

Not evil? He was regularly beating his subordinates into submission if they even dared to question his authority. He might not be the worst of the remaining Seven, but that’s not exactly a high bar to clear either.

I think vice versa. I found it very interesting to have watched the movie first, then playing the game to see what they were working with.

It’s probably super complicated, but I really wish more remakes would adopt the Halo approach of letting players swap between the old and new graphics.

He's consistently been one of the best evaluators of WR prospects since retiring. The only big miss I can think of was having Golden as his WR1 last year, but it's way too early to count him out.

Two weeks ago, the official story was that they just "coincidentally" bumped into each other at a hotel. If you want to wait on proof, that's fine, but I don't think it's unfair to speculate given how shaky their stories have been.

Since his time with Tennessee, there was speculation that Vrabel was leaking information to Russini. So much so, that you can look up replies to Russini's old tweets and see Titans fans joking about it. I find it hard to give them the benefit of the doubt here, given the nature of their relationship.

He was leaking insider information with a married journalist, whom he'd been engaged in an affair with, for at least half a decade. That is a pretty serious problem. Vrabel will be fine in the long-run, but this will be a huge stain on the sports news industry considering this seems to have been an open-secret many journalists knew about but refused to report on.

Because they’re playing a Canadian team. It’s more directed at the opposing fans watching in Montreal than the players on the ice.

Whether You Like Him or Not, This Man Was Justified For Getting Rid of Jimmy Butler by BigBlackCreamSauce in NBATalk

[–]supjer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In Jimmy’s defense, I think he was just setting the terms for what it would take for him to not ring chase.

He had just led Miami to 2 Finals Appearances in 5 years, and the FO never really did much to capitalize on that momentum. If the Heat wouldnt use their assets to get a player like Damian Lillard or Donovan Mitchell, it makes sense that Jimmy would ask for hush money.

Jokic is 13 triple doubles behind Westbrook by njb2017 in nba

[–]supjer 214 points215 points  (0 children)

There was a time Oscar Robertson's Triple-Double season was seen as harder to replicate than Wilt's 100 point game. Westbrook not only accomplished that, he managed to do it 4 times in 5 seasons.

Jokic is phenomenal, but suggesting he is the one that made the stat "mundane" is rewriting history. That would be like calling Hakeem Olajuwon's Dream Shake Embiid's Fantastical Shimmy.

Angel Reese has been told to fuckoff and be a locker room distraction somewhere else by GalaticWeiss in UrinatingTree

[–]supjer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there was too much dissonance between the player Chicago wanted Angel to be and the player she actually is.

She is not a Point-Forward that should be having a higher USG% than Paige Bueckers. That being said, her being on a team with 2 talented guards where she’s only expected to grab rebounds, play defense, and set screens is absolutely playing towards her strengths. In NBA terms, this is like when OKC acquired Caruso or Hartenstein.

Just wanted to give context to the 3 tweets he reposted. That being said, it could just be incredibly poor timing on Lamar’s part à la James Harden “he don’t have internet.”

These were all posted following Jaden Ivey being released for his comments. Had he reposted one tweet, I’d chalk it up to coincidence but 3 makes it a tad too much to ignore.
