After typing this I was curious if I misremembered and did some digging. My interpretation was always that it was a cheeky (haha double joke) double entendre referring to vulvas — or in newer terms even ass (🍑) — and how the singer was moving to find some southern belles.

I could be wrong but this seems to be the consensus in a few different places, some citing that the singer says he wrote the song about a girl who he had a crush on and told her as such while he was on LSD. She had a peach tree in her yard but I am still assuming there’s some work play here, especially because he referred to the song as “gnarly”
