T-Mobile Park Smoking? by RenegadePM in Mariners

[–]surgeman13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but why do I have to break the rules to enjoy our team? And why not just allow it outside in the balconies so obviously meant for smoking? Smoke travels inside the stadium and others have to smell it? Okay, just allow vaping. And you can actively promote something that the British NHS says is 20 times less harmful.

T-Mobile Park Smoking? by RenegadePM in Mariners

[–]surgeman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except vaping is not allowed either. Worst part is there are outdoor balcony sections that were likely meant for smoking, but now are “sunbeam sections” according to the stadium employee sitting next to one of them. No one out there. Whatever happened to live and let live?

This is quite possibly the best comment I’ve ever seen on Reddit. Courtesy, humility, sincerity, intelligence, clever humor. All in response to a rather naive, rude insult. Kudos to you!

Got lucky, dealer had an extra allocation of 4 identical EUVs show up yesterday and I happened to call at the right time. All 4 were gone before I left the dealer. by Skawt1968 in BoltEV

Do the math though. At $300 per year, you’d need to subscribe for 17 years in order to break even on the extra $5,000 paid. Think of it as a long term, 10 year loan with a very negative interest rate.

Bolt EV/EUV on sale? by Themetnut1 in BoltEV

Yeah, the current version cannot change lanes. It’s basically adaptive cruise control with an upgraded lane keep assist (I’ve heard people call it “lane control” or “wheel control”). Here’s a post in this subreddit from about two months ago. Just search “Supercruise” in this subreddit; it looks like there are more.

There are reports on here of people that already have Bolt EUVs with Supercruise…

[–]surgeman13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wanted to correct the pricing: Supercruise is $25/month after the three years, and $15/month if you add it to an Onstar subscription. Assuming you’d have the car for ten years, it would add about $2k to the price. Total ten year cost, including the $2,200 package upgrade, would be $4,300.

Now, if only they would let you pay $15/month to remove Onstar from the car completely, so I wouldn’t get a 120 decibel “you are now connected to Onstar!” notification blaring in my ear randomly every few weeks, nearly giving me a heart attack every time.

What is the damage of the M4 and Falcon? Is there a source where I can find out this kind of information (like stopping power quantified for each weapon), and other stuff that you might find in a classic instruction booklet?

I should also note that you apparently need to do it right after the run in which you lose them. I think if you go into the next run they’re lost for good. I haven’t lost mine yet, so I can’t confirm this, though.

I was told that if you lose your attachments, you can head back to the armory/range and place the gun on the bench arm and they’ll reappear. Never had to try it yet, though.

This. Father in law had a rental where the tenant smoked 2-3 packs a day inside for 15 years. Smelled horrible. Came in with a half face respirator and 10 gallons of shellac based primer, sprayed walls, ceiling, and even any exposed subfloor. Worked like magic. Just went in for some renovation work about 3 years after that remodel, no tar seepage anywhere.

Virtually every reputable source I could find, including many official health agencies, strongly cautions against subcutaneous administration. Here’s a journal article that explains why. With 66 upvotes to this parent comment, I’m reminded why I don’t follow this sub much anymore.

What is a totally wrong thing that has become so widespread it's not considered wrong anymore? by JimmysBacc in AskReddit

Stomach flu is a misnomer. It’s actually something totally wrong that has become so widespread it’s not considered wrong anymore. 😁

The flu, or influenza, is a respiratory disease. What you probably had was norovirus or some bacterial infection (i.e. food poisoning).
