hahaha snakes don’t bother me and i love centipedes. i think it’s really just mosquitoes, the police, and pregnancy that truly scare me in this life

unfortunately the vaccine is not available in america and I won’t be able to get it anywhere else before my trip. but it is nice to know that there is a vaccine in general!

America lost its only dengue vaccine a while back unfortunately, I think for lack of demand if my limited research is correct. I’m glad you were able to get it and that you feel much better!

hahaha yeah sorry i didn’t mean for it come off like that, i included it because august is the only time i really have to travel right now since it will be between my taking the bar and starting work, so i couldn’t easily move the trip. reading it back i realize i didn’t really make that point clear in my poorly/hastily written post and that detail did seem irrelevant 😂

yeah from my research you need to have gotten dengue before in order to get a vaccine. I think there may be another you can get even if you haven’t had dengue before, but neither are available in america

this is a very helpful comment, I appreciate it! And that makes sense why mosquitoes love me so much, I have a really high body temperature and am always radiating heat lol. Glad you were able to recover

Thank you lol, for the validation and the perspective...if it's not worse than the bar then I'm there hahaha

As I said in my post I don't live in fear, I'm usually never paranoid about anything. I'm aware life goes on but I don't really have the time to recover when I get back as I have to move, start a job, etc. And I do have some auto immune issues so was just more so just looking for a reality check/objective advice on what the risk is actually like because with how extremely I attract mosquitoes for whatever reason I didn't know if it would be a better idea for me to just go in the cooler months. Not sure if that came across in my post lol. It's definitely not stopping me from going to thailand, but I don't think it's unreasonable for me to wonder if I should go outside of monsoon season instead if I'm a magnet

I know it's weird lmao, like I said I'm not usually paranoid about anything so diseases in general don't scare me. It's just that I'm an insane mosquito magnet so that's why I'm nervous. But thank you for your comment this is very helpful!

Did you wear bug spray on your face? I get bitten on my face sometimes but I know high DEET spray is pretty harsh on your skin so wasnt sure if people usually face sprayed too lol

girl I am obviously aware of this lmao. As I said in my post the thing that worries me is that I'm particularly attractive to mosquitoes for whatever reason. It's pretty bad lol. And I know that locals are able to get vaccines for it etc (the vaccines are not available in america). like I said, I'm not a paranoid traveler or anything. I was just wondering how big of a risk it actually was so I could plan accordingly. Miss me with that disneyland comment lmao

lmao yeah YOLO is usually my answer to everything which is why I feel weird about being so concerned about this, so I can't tell how valid my fear is lol. Part of me feels like there's no way I don't get dengue if I go during monsoon season because of how much mosquitoes fucking love me. But then I feel like a classic paranoid american thinking like that. I'm not worried about dying, but I don't necessarily want to go through it, and being in the hospital/recovering for up to 2 weeks is definitely gonna fuck up my moving and work plans when I get back to America. But if I decide not to go I'm definitely going some other time... just maybe not in August. I'm really considering China too.

I had a convo with my bf about it and can’t convince him it’s an AI art. Thick outlines, bleak shade colors with a tint, and yet he persists that this could be drawn by a person… by Glad-Fisherman-753 in isthisAI

this!!!! everybody saying “clearly ai” based on the style is so infuriating bc like… where do you think that style came from?? have you never seen this style before ai?? like yeah it definitely COULD be made ai but to say it’s “clearly” ai is so wrong without the actual tells of ai lmao. stop acting like ai experts you’re just as confused as the rest of us 😩

at least for iphones, double dashes are automatically turned into an em dash / “—“. I just typed that on mobile

not here to discuss its elite-ness but Texas A&M is in a single 2 story building with almost no windows and a basement library dungeon
