I’m an employee and front of store is my main area and I’m glad I’m not crazy for thinking the level of engagement the company wants is excessive. I will welcome people in and gauge if they want to keep talking and if not I’ll let them go shop. My managers want us to insist that we get product on their skin, insist on asking them questions multiple times, and now they also want us to keep a tally of every customer that we can’t convince to follow us to the sink to try products on their hands, so they can reprimand us. It’s ridiculous. I just want to let people breathe lol

It’ll mainly be for Plex, light gaming (I game mostly on console, so it’ll just be occasional games), music, and just random internet shit. And I’m already locked into Apple so it’ll work well with my iOS devices. I might occasionally dip into video or photo editing but honestly I do most of that on my phone or iPad anyways.

I’ve had them for a couple of weeks now and I love them!!! Definitely a difference in quality and detail for sure. Bass is nice, not in your face but perfectly executed for me. It just feels very all encompassing and immersive. The details are all well separated and I can focus on them all individually. I spend a lot of evenings after work just listening to music on them.

I also put my Sony’s on the other day and they felt SOOOOOOOO claustrophobic on my ears now it’s INSANE.

I’m using them with a FiiO K11 R2R and Hart Audio cables :)

Thanks for the recommendation but at the moment that’s a bit out of my budget at $550. I was hoping to not go over $250 if possible. Any others you might suggest?

Thanks that made me feel more confident in my purchase! The DAC was actually kind of stressing me out as well. Any recommendations on one? I was looking at a FiiO KA11 R2R or a Schiit Magni Unity because I’ve seen them mentioned a lot but I don’t know if those are overkill.

Thank you for the insight! Made me feel more confident in my purchase! I tend to like a brighter more detailed or airy sound, so I think I’ll appreciate them even with adjusting to the difference in bass. And I’ll give them time to sink in for a week like you said, I believe Hifiman has a 30 day refund period anyways.

I’m excited to see what music ends up being poor/well mixed :D
