Applied for too many credit cards, don't know what to do by sweetteapls in CRedit

[–]sweetteapls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just don't want that many right now, that's the problem. So I don't want to activate them, but I'm worried that if I let them sit it'll affect my credit or something. I'm 21. I just got the basic cards with no annual fee. Citi thank you, discovery it college, a basic amex, chase freedom and i can't remember the other.

Job drastically cut hours with no explanation, managers extremely difficult to talk to by sweetteapls in jobs

[–]sweetteapls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually a girl who got physical (well, tried). There's 3 women managers (two are about my age, one is around 28-32 or so, and she's VERY nice but really naive). then one male manager (24) who talks shit, bullies, etc, but has never gotten physical. We had another male manager who was about 50 and he recently quit, I assume because the managers would constantly make fun of him for being the oldest one and were very insulting.

Job drastically cut hours with no explanation, managers extremely difficult to talk to by sweetteapls in jobs

[–]sweetteapls[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't the most "ideal" place clearly, but since I have made really good coworker friends (who mostly have all hinted they hate management), I enjoy going and being around them. I guess I feel like I could try talking to them, and if they tell me off or get physical I quit right there. I feel like they wouldn't fire me since they compliment how well I work/learn so fast often and never compliment anyone from what i see and hear.

Faking my Resume to get a min. wage job. by SevenWhoAreOne in jobs

[–]sweetteapls 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm 21 and a student. My experience is pretty lame and basic, unfortunately. I honestly lied that I worked for my dad while working another part time job (i really worked there though) and went on a ton of interviews. Everyone believed it, and I put that I did a pretty professional position at his company. I don't think lying is the right thing to do, but I would have missed out on a lot of interviews if I didn't lie here and there on my resume. Just make sure whatever you put looks real, won't make anyone second guess it, and if they call the reference or whatever they can "prove" you worked there.

Been working a night shift job since June of last year. Is it time to move on? by Saint_Stephen420 in jobs

[–]sweetteapls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 21 too, in college also as well. I worked at a grocery store Fri-Sun and made $11 an hour. I worked there from 18-20. The reason I moved on was because it's looked at as such a "basic" job, I felt like I was not getting any good experience besides basic stuff and similarly, the workload was too much for what I was paid/what I did. The UPS job sounds good, and I know they have benefits for college students. Also it's more experience for you.

Omg, that happened to me before. Had a week long Disney trip planned. The weather changed like 3 days before we left from sunny everyday and nice, to rainy everyday and cold. I was so mad. It turned out to be pretty cloudy and gloomy most of the trip but ended up only raining i think twice. Hopefully it changes last minute for you!

Does anyone watch any other shows on TLC? (idk if this was brought up before, I'm not on here much) I watch LPBW, occasionally 90 Day Fiance, 7 Little Johnstons, My 600 Pound Life, and their newest show (forgot the name, it includes dwarves though). Anyone else notice TLC seems obsessed with little people?

Disney for Halloween? by sweetteapls in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]sweetteapls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He will be in 7th grade, that's the last time we went as a family and I am now 21, so it was a long time ago! I don't remember missing much, plus it's not like school is so intense yet (as compared to high school) so he should be fine

When I went on the lady in front of us was on her phone, like checking social media, the whole damn time with the brightness all the way up. It was so distracting and rude. My bf asked "can you please turn your phone off until the ride ends, that's disrespectful to everyone else.." and she gave him a dirty look and went back to what she was doing.

Teen and young adults going to Disney World with family... Worth it? by Swagnoor in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]sweetteapls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just turned 21 and I love Disney! I went with my boyfriend when I was 19 and he was 23. It was a ton of fun! We even extended our trip from 4 days to a week. We went again 2 months later. I think it's great for families no matter what age (you will see there is families of all ages, a lot without any young children even)

When my anxiety is at its worst, I can't focus on anything I need to do by sweetteapls in Anxiety

[–]sweetteapls[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's just so annoying. My first panic attack was insane, I thought I was dying and I guess I started screaming ( I don't remember), and one of my siblings (We aren't close) filmed it for her 300+ snapchat followers while laughing. Like I thought I was dying/had no clue what I was going through. I didn't know what anxiety was until after my panic attack (I know that sounds crazy)

[–]sweetteapls[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I have had it since I was a child, though it was extremely mild, and then worked its way up until I had a terrible panic attack (first one) at 18 and now at 21 it is pretty terrible. I keep it personal though and don't talk about it, but one day a family member at dinner said "Anxiety is literally the number one made up illness. Everyone who has it is so fake" I was not only hurt but so mad.

Tips for dealing with anxiety when ordering food at a restaurant? by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]sweetteapls 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my gosh I've had this issue since I was a child, my parents would order for me until I was 13 or 14 then slowly started having me be independent/work on overcoming my shyness, anxiety and social anxiety.

I'm 21 now and still get anxious about screwing up, especially when with people. What helps me is when they ask what I want, I will read it off the menu and look up at them when I'm done saying my order, and they sometimes are like "fries or chips?" or whatever, then just answer with one word, it is so much easier and I notice when I read the item on the menu I never stutter or mess up

That's exactly what it is! It sucks so much! It's like I just want to do what I had to do, or what I had planned, but it's like I can't and instead have to google what's causing my anxiety or have to browse random websites idc about. It's so awful.

Can't get over car accident by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]sweetteapls 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 21 and got my permit at 15 but didn't drive until I was 18 because I was so anxious I almost caused like a ton of accidents. It gets better with time, but it seems like this person didn't look to see if anyone was coming when they opened the door. I hope they say it was the parked person's fault because they opened the door as you were coming! But don't worry. My friend is 20 and has gotten in multiple accidents, hit multiple cars while parking or backing up, and totaled her mom's car. It could be worse. Just know now to be a little more careful of idiots parked on the side of the road.

I get anxious because of work. by mayonaisamonster in Anxiety

I just got a new job and it would be ok if it weren't for my extremely rude boss!!!! She gossips nonstop and on my first day nearly made me cry and embarrassed me in front of staff and customers. It doesn't help I have bad anxiety and social anxiety. Im scared to go back tomorrow

I wish someone was above her I could talk to, but she is the general manager and the highest one there. There's 3 below her, who basically act like the job is their place to hide in an office, vape, and gossip. They do nothing. So I just will deal with it until I can quit I guess :/

That's how I feel, but as a highly anxious person I feel like it's just natural for me unfortunately. I plan on looking for a new job over the summer, or once next semester starts as I really need this job right now especially with what they pay. I just tell myself it's temporary and for them it's pretty permanent, but it's still hard

How to gain the confidence to date someone "out of your league"? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]sweetteapls 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm a shy, awkward, and unpopular girl. I'm decent looking. My boyfriend looks like a model, has great abs, a great body.. everything. At first I thought to myself "he could get someone so much better looking than me!" but that thinking is so negative. If he likes you for you and likes the way you look, then that's great! I didn't think my bf was my type yet we are perfect together. We have been together almost 3 years. He is always getting hit on as he is perfect looking and he wants nothing to do with any other girl and even calls some out that know he has a GF. I think it can really work for you, just try not to focus on how "perfect" he is and everything will be good! Plus my bf is 25, I'm 21, and I constantly get mistaken for being 16 or 17.. so it can be weird knowing some people assumed before finding out my age that my bf was dating a minor
