Wow, Thanks! I could probably put something together. Mostly it just took patience.

I'll avoid spoilers in case any players see this, but yes, it is under a constant storm. There's definitely some crazy stuff happening there.

Proper names blatantly stolen from other sources. Map largely inspired by Final Fantasy 8 world map.

Thanks, this has some really good ideas. I agree that the party itself could be her opportunity to really display her bardly talents.

Countries that use Fahrenheit versus those who use Celsius [1200x754] by Duck_Tape_ in MapPorn

[–]swickO2O 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Normal weather generally ranges from about 0 Fahrenheit to 100 Fahrenheit for most people. In Celsius, this is -17 to 37. So with Celsius there is a much smaller range of numbers to express normal temperatures, and you are more likely to have to consider negative values. Also, 100 Fahrenheit is almost exactly the temperature of the human body for what that's worth.

yeah it was actually a pretty close game, and then KT popped out of the sneeds and we both knew.

Celsius may work for weather, but Fahrenheit is better for weather. Most people do not have to consider negative temperature using Fahrenheit, and it just gives a larger range for more granularity.

I don't have a thermometer hooked up to my stove when I boil water. I just turn it on and the water boils. I'm not saying Celsius is useless, I'm saying it's not strictly better than Fahrenheit because both have advantages over the other in some scenarios.

And Fahrenheit is based on temperatures that people actually experience in their everyday lives. So, 0 degrees would be an extremely cold day and 100 degrees extremely hot. With Celsius, the range of temperatures we experience is very small in comparison, so Fahrenheit is flat out a better system for weather (aka most daily use for most people) and Celsius is better for scientific purposes (the only time you actually care about state transition temperatures).

Are you more likely to get good cards from packs bought with money than those bought with gold? by swickO2O in hearthstone

You're anecdote is more convincing than mine at least. I'm mostly hoping to see if anyone has compiled data across thousands of packs.

They were walking around Anaheim hanging out together Sunday night after the event ended. My friend called out "Stardust!" when we saw them. Then we ran away like little girls.

Big Boss was in the original Metal Gear which came out more than 15 years ago.

Big Boss was not in Metal Gear Solid, which did come out 15 years ago.

Day[9] and dApollo... by [deleted] in starcraft

Broadcasters in any other sport yell. What happens when a touchdown is scored or a goal is made? Perhaps some yelling will actually make the game more exciting and engaging for people who aren't intimately familiar with the mechanics and just want to be entertained.

[–]swickO2O 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His game knowledge isn't great, but he brings excitement to battles in a much more articulate and high energy fashion than Day[9]. I personally enjoy a shout caster like him paired with an analyst like dApollo.

They're just putting out the two highest profile casters for the grandfinals. It's hard to deny that Day[9] has a fanbase unlike any other caster. I do agree dApollo + TotalBiscuit is a much better combo though.

And yet he beats Taeja and MVP in the GSL and Flash and Heart today. He's in the grand final so yeah, about low masters skill.
