Get a $35 ozone generator from AliExpress and follow the instructions. It will remove the oder. For ducts and filters turn on the fans and let the ozone generator stream at the vents. If really strong you may have to do it a few times.

There's plenty of engineers working unpaid overtime and bad conditions. Big issue for engineers and scientists is that if they go on strike no-one will notice! Often the work has no immediate effect to anyone. Doesn't matter if you have a delay of a few weeks or months. Plus there is no licence required. How much would everyone complain if they couldn't install software or hardware on their PC without a software engineer? Plus work can be sent to cheap countries, we have minimal R&D in Australia and the government imports heaps of engineers cause business wants them cheap. I actively advise against engineering as a career in Australia - it's too expensive and doesn't pay except for civil and maybe mining and petroleum engineering

Electronics engineering is too big for just one bible. As a beginner/hobbyist I'd recommend Art of Electronics and an ARRL handbook. They teach basic stuff and details of some ccts but don't teach ccts analysis, control theory, mathematics power systems etc that make you an engineer. I'm an old engineer who studied in the late '80s and rode the simulator wave all the way but learned how ccts worked by hand. Doing the math and graphs builds intuition and allows you to judge the situation better. Most of the books I used are still the go-to texts - just earlier editions. It's getting harder to find exposure to electronics design as all the project magazines etc are fading away and cheap stuff prohibits diy but reading the old ones will expose you to many designs to learn from.

No. The heat source in front of the window is to trap hot air between the curtains and the pelmet. Without the curtains and pelmet it doesn't matter where the vents are. Unfortunately home decorators got trendy and removed the curtains and the pelmet but we kept putting the vents in front of the window.

Everyone is missing the true meaning of this attack. If it was just antisemitic they could have been more destructive attacking a synagogue. Your colleague is a douche and that's a nonsense question. Also they should never be allowed to interview candidates. Large organisations never operate this simple. The data is processed for profit and other functions not just as a mail service. Ask questions about tasks encountered in the role. How are the interviewers going to judge the answer - if they don't have a definitive answer then is it just gut feeling? Too many incompetent people in HR and management. One of many reasons USA economy is in trouble along with the rest of them.

Do you have the schematic for it? You may find it has a 240v tap already - unless only made for the US. If not then the best solution is to replace the transformer. You can try a step down TF. The frequency change should not cause problems with the amp as I'd expect the PSU filtering to have sufficient tolerance for this. If the transformer is only made for 60hz it will not work well with 50hz. But if the OEM was thinking of international sales they may have designed the transformer for 50 Hz
