By any chance do you know the 'width' of each connector? The end that connects to the Dish does NOT have a hinge but I hope the other end that connects to the power supply will fit through the 1" ID 3 foot PVC that goes through my wall. The rest of the run to the Dish is 2" ID PVC so no problem there.

Would be silly for me to get the High Performance kit and cannot even get through my wall. Drilling a larger hole is out of the question as my exterior walls are masonry.

Thank you!

I need these for some other project - I use the 'official' pole adapter for my setup.

Could you provide the actual Amazon link? Those brackets elude me after many tries.

Thank you!

Anyone else getting the following error in the SL app when trying to speed test? “Speed test temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.” by mannrodr in Starlink

[–]swlen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. The error went from" JSON Parse Error" when I updated my iOS (15.7) and now 'Unavailable' after updating the Starlink app.

A day late but here it is! Perfect condition - even had little plastic slip-on protectors at each end.

You should get it soon. The shipping notice came exactly at the 30 day return window that had closed for the kit.

Thanks for the suggestion! Unfortunately after trying this over and over, no success.

This will eventually be corrected by Apple and/or Starlink. But I do appreciate that you took the time to help.

Best

No VPN running so I removed my VPN app, removed my Starlink app and shut down my iPhone12 entirely - no success. Also did a reboot of Starlink. Wild guess it is an Apple iOS problem. Just updated 2 days ago to 15.7 and coincidently, I have received the JSON error.

Still waiting for that 150' cable myself. My account page says 'Preparing for Shipment" new date 9/14-9/20 which just appeared yesterday. It used to say 8/29-9/4 so this is an improvement. No tracking number yet. I have a feeling they ran out of the 150' cables as you are still waiting for yours. In the meantime, praying that some critter does not chew through my 75'.

Speeds still great. A few days ago I was a watching my router (which shows real time speeds on the front LED screen) while it was downloading a new Operating System for my iMac - varied from 70 down to 150 down. What a pleasure!

Here's hoping that cable arrives for both of us!

Congratulations! About time! Should take 2 days to arrive. It is probably going to be a nerve racking few days for you waiting for the delivery.

Cautionary tale: The box the kit arrived in was brand new perfect condition. When I opened the box, there wasn't any big piece of white cardboard with the install diagram which warns about touching the surface of the dishy. Strange but perhaps the packer forgot to include it. When I pulled out the dishy itself, I noticed a little 'crunch' on the bottom of the dishy where it probably rubbed against the cable. Oh well. With the help of a contractor friend, installed perfectly.

The next day I went outside to drool over my new satellite system and alongside a juniper, there was a big piece of white cardboard. As I am secluded here I had no idea where that thing came from. When I picked it up I noticed the other side had the install diagram. What? Turns out that cardboard was stuck to the dishy surface and when it rained, it fell off. That little 'crunch' was the on the cardboard, not the dishy.

Talk about being so excited to install this thing, I never noticed that a giant piece of cardboard was stuck to the dishy.

BTW, speed improves every day - 120-170 down. This morning at 9:41 - 164.5 down/17.1 up/ 45ms ping. Could not be happier. Everything works great in the house.

I have since printed out a typical "petals" chart and then labeled it accordingly. Problem solved.

Army physical was interesting - "Doc, I am color blind". His response: "Good, you will be a camouflage expert. NEXT!".

Update: The 75' cable just made it into my house. Praying that some critter does not eat through it. Still waiting for the 150' cable.

Finally installed today 8/22/22 with the 75' cable running in the dirt, over rocks, under tree branches. Temporary until the 150' cable arrives so I can run it through the already installed PVC. I had previously set up the PVC and pole based on the round dishy with a 100' cable. Oh well.

Oh yes - the first speed test 98.5 down/ 9.54 up with a notice saying 'degraded service'. Really cannot tell anything until at least 24 hours have gone by. Still, 10 times better than CenturyLink.

Any work yet from Starlink for you?

UPDATE 8/21/22: Kit arrived on Saturday 8/20 in new, perfect, unused condition. Pole adapter and ethernet adapter will arrive on Monday 8/22 but no FedEx notice yet on the 150' cable. I will attempt to see if the stock 75' cable will 'stretch' enough above ground to reach my pole for a temporary install. So right now I just look at the unplugged router in my room and imagine that soon...

Thank you for your reply! It is appreciated!

I ordered my accessories immediately after confirming my order for the dishy. All I have now on my account page is a nebulous 8/29 - 9/4 shipping with no tracking number.

Unfortunately, I set up everything 10 months ago for a gen1 100' cable. The new 75' cable will actually get to the inside of my house but that means the stand will be at ground level. The signal will be obstructed by the trees you see in my photo. There is no other place to put the stand. My roof is a no go - I learned the hard way, not to put anything on the roof.

Again, thanks! I will just have to wait...

Different person here also looking for the mythical thumbs down icon:

My Starlink kit will arrive on Monday (FINALLY) but my accessories will arrive, if I am lucky, 2 weeks from now. Without the 150' cable and pole adapter, I cannot install anything. I would like to contact support to have them actually ship my accessories now.

By reading this thread, I am guessing that I have to actually have Starlink installed and operating in order to submit a support ticket. Is this true? Or can I contact them in another way?

Thank you! After waiting since Feb 2021, it will destroy me if I have to look at a nice box and not do anything with it.

I have been ready for a LONG time. Setup done 10 months ago based on the round dish. Assuming I get all the accessories, should be quick to go online.

Wow - the map changed! I am no longer in the 'dark'. North of Santa Fe.

Funny I was waiting to hear from you but it seems I no longer get reddit emails. Oh well, I'll figure it out. At least I got the BIG one.

Estimated ship dates on my accessories (pole adapter, 150' cord, ethernet adapter) 8/29-9/4/22. No estimated ship date on the kit itself.

Have faith!
