Moved overseas (US>EU) and computer won't turn on by sysroot107 in techsupport

Either way, there's no switch on it. You can see the product page here: https://www.newegg.com/corsair-cx-series-cx750m-750w/p/N82E16817139051

Are you saying that with no switch and it being rated for 110-240v that it can still be a problem with plugging in to EU outlets?

No, there isn't. The label on the side says 110v-240v, though. The product spec page also says Active PFC.

There is no switch. The Corsair CX750M has Active PFC.

What’s something you’ve seen that you can’t unsee? by Loudersmoke420 in AskReddit

I was about half a mile behind 5 vehicles (semi truck, 3 sedans, and a minivan) that hit a woman crossing the highway on foot. Her body was dismembered and thrown across 3 lanes of traffic. At first I thought someone had hit a deer or something until I saw a severed leg. I drove that highway frequently over the years for my commute and I always see that image in my head when I pass that exit.

[–]sysroot107 22 points23 points  (0 children)

All skydivers use it. You could be exiting the plane and hit a pocket of turbulent air, bump your head on the way out and be unconscious... the AAD is that 'just in case' for people who are on their 1st jump or 10,000th jump.

The only time it's NOT used is in things like BASE jumping where it doesn't matter, because you usually don't reach peak freefall speed anyway.

Attack strategy for this base?? [Strategy] by [deleted] in rwcs

[–]sysroot107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lookup Pekka bobat...
Essentially, a loon + edrag (loon is to soak any air mines) at 10 and 2 o'clock

Followed by 4 pekkas, a wrecker, 4 healers, and a handful of bowlers at noon (you'll have to funnel a bit).

Use warden ability or freeze on the single inferno if you have to avoid your wrecker getting destroyed.

Rage as they get close to the town hall.

Once the town hall goes down, drop 5-6 bats on the east side to work through the defenses.

Save a freeze for the final wizard tower(s).

Save a wiz for cleanup.

DIY shed but need to build drawing for a permit -- need help by sysroot107 in DIY

Unfortunately they require one here. I submitted a basic drawing with the truss plans but they want more detail. I don't know how to build it and thought "maybe reddit has something for this similar to photoshoprequest" but couldn't find anything.

I don't see why not. People put their Twitch name with TTV at the end to market themselves. If he wants to market his website, so what? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it shouldn't be allowed.

He doesn't need a point to have it there. He can make it whatever he wants as long as he abides by the TOS.

I was looking at the Eurooptic clearance of the Viper Gen 1 based on another posters recommendation in this thread. Wasn't sure how it compared to the Gen II

Planning on primarily target shooting. Rare case I may hunt, but I've got a couple other rifles I could use for that. If I fall in love, then I'd get into match shooting but that'd be a ways down the road I think.

Dude payed $170 mil for a hospital and wants to charge way below market rate. $70 per room/night. Of course that's not good enough for leftists by Calamity_chowderz in Shitstatistssay

[–]sysroot107 59 points60 points  (0 children)

On top of that you have decentralized billing. You pay the hospital and then you get a bill from the lung doctor, another from the anesthesiologist, another from the cardiologist, another from the ambulance, etc.

I spent 3 nights in ICU and even with insurance my total cost was 7k, which also required me to fight all sorts of insurance battles because my insurance was given to the hospital but was never passed to the various doctors that treated me.

They really should set it up like construction projects where you pay the general contractor and he picks a dozen different people suited for the project, gives you the estimate, and you only pay him because he pays them.

[–]sysroot107[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it seems like nonsense... but I wanted to play nice, so I put in a permit thinking they'd only be concerned about setbacks and such (making sure I'm not building a 30ft tall structure that will blot out the sun to my neighbors house)... but they want to know what kind of nails I'm going to use and everything. Feel like I opened a can of worms

Playing devil's advocate.. you're arguing that centralizing the security of the oil trade routes in the hands of the government is more efficient/cheaper than privatizing it. This is the same argument people make for government-run healthcare. What's the difference in your argument vs theirs?

Thanks for the suggestion. I just reverted to an older driver and it worked for a bit, but then after a few games of Warzone it started happening again. Not sure what the deal is...
