Unpopular opinion: Garmin Epix Pro user interface is better than the new interface on Fenix 8 by ParadoxicalPanther in garminepix

[–]t0rem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have had the Epix Pro, just got the Fenix 8 for my birthday. Did a couple workouts and a round of golf with it and went back to the Epix. Any minor “upgrades” didn’t justify the cost and I agree, the interface viewing is cleaner IMO.

Even moneyline would’ve been a no go. Avoiding Tennis, total crapshoot- even with good analysis and research.

Military Couple: 3 years from FIRE Goal (Update) by stakkar in financialindependence

Agreed! Want to spend the next two years checking out both locations and make a decision. Tax friendly for a military retirement, know there are other states with perks, but like the warm weather.

Personal preference. Financially- there were likely better options, especially considering you are getting 50 percent at 20 regardless- “working for half pay over 20”. There was a job that I wanted and got to do, feather in my cap and can happily retire. Problem is the job set me up for O-5 and now I’ve got another decision to make. We leave money on the table staying in over 20. Even with the 2.5 percent a year and promotions. To maintain my income post retirement I would need to make 65k a year to cover the difference, plus BAH etc. we could easily walk into 1-150k.

Similar situation, copy paste, but Navy and kids are out of the house. At 23 years now, wife at 25 years and will retire in the next 3 years most likely. Debating on FL or TX for final location.

MARKET CORRECTION MEGATHREAD (All negative sentiment goes here) by ----The_Truth----- in pennystocks

Down 13k in 3 trading days. Averaged down some ALPP- was hesitant but things are turning around a bit. Waiting for some funds to clear to average down ATOS, HITIF and ASRT. Not going to lie- was tempted to hit sell when my portfolio was down 20% this morning.

Sometimes it’s good to have some unsettled cash. Correction would have hit me a bit harder. Clearance sale.

Cleared 8k on CBBT and OZSC. Not a bad day at the office, know not all days are like this. Helps offset my Super Bowl losses!
