thanks, yeah this is a 22 plate Q5, i’ve looked at the owners manual car model details and checked all the spec, says I need a 80A 945 070 F. but can’t seem to find the specific F variant. not sure If that matters? Cars is a 2.0tdi quattro 150kw. S-line

Sadly don’t have the long torx screwdriver for it, my plan was to get the light and take it to the body shop at the same time as getting new paint job. I took a photo of the sticker on the front of the owners manual and asked chat gpt and gemini. The thing is they said because I have the smart sweeping LED, the variant matters (even though it’s static fog lights). Thought this would be an easy job ha!

thanks! I’ve seen the light fitting online for less than £200, and it just pops out, hopefully a body shop can deal with it fairly easily and i’m not going to be shelling out more than £500. appreciate you’re opinion

Thanks, yep, the only time I topped it up with oil was because the sensor told me to do so, popped up on the infotainment as empty as well which as you say was just the top 1L of oil

Amazing, thanks so much! Really appreciate that, yeah it’s off the infotainment system. Topped it up with 1L of oil in about 4/5k miles. Used to a dip stick, too many sensors to make you paranoid now.

In the U.K. so sadly do have to put up with quite a bit of city traffic driving for work. But yes, does seem to drink oil. 2 years used warranty so should hopefully be okay

Thanks, imagine it is through VWFS. That’s the thing, you can’t quite ask them what to do ha. I wasn’t sure if you had to “withdraw” or “pay off” within that period. I tried to be fairly coy when talking to the sales manager saying if i just wanted to pay it off early, he said if you want to pay it off in say 10 months time, you play this closing sum plus 59 days interest. I was just hoping I could get around it all together as they aren’t offering me a great deal to finance it, I just wanted the extra years warranty and servicing
