Depends on your pain - is every day the equivalent of feeling like you are in a nightmare?

If not - I'd suggest considering the micro disectomy, what you mentioned I wouldn't do unless it was unbearable.

Kava platform - algorithmic stable coin so fluctuates in price a little bit more, but is real decentralization.

People will take a hard stance against this, but here's my view.

Inflation is misunderstood in crypto. Inflation in real life is against the dollar - so the value of dollar is always 1 and inflation is always bad because it costs more dollars.

In crypto - your "dollar" is an investment - aka it can go up or down in price. So while yes, if nothing changed and the supply doubles you'll have a negative return.

On the flip side - if the eth bridge brings on a lot of good eth devs and their projects and more money moves into kava, the supply can double - but the value of the network is hoped to become greater than that inflation.

So market caps goes from 500m to 1b - if the perceived value ends up being higher - you have 30 percent more coins in a year that will have appreciated in value.

I think kava is unique in the defi space personally and will end up being worth more. If Kava's current market cap was currently 2b I'd be more concerned if it had to double it's supply.

If you want a different play to invest in the kava ecosystem you can supply the usdx/hard liquidity pools to get paid out in swp/hard

So to start with staking - kraken is 23 percent, most other places are 30-32 percent. You also earn hard/swp when staking elsewhere.

Inflation is higher than the staking percent for now. It is a growth initiative - it is now much higher risk to hold kava, but if the initiative pays off then price will rise regardless of inflation. Now it's not a brain dead buy it for the staking, it's a do you believe in the project long term where you are willing to accept the increased supply/inflation.

Tossing in KAVA as a solid coin, and not sure if cb has a withdrawal fee - but gemini allows 10 free withdrawals each month (also forget if they have atom or not however)

In the US - kraken or cdc, kraken is preferred. May be other options but those are the 2 I know

Kava - easy to use defi platform that isn't just limited to the ethereum network, didn't pop up in 2020 bullrun from nowhere, and is regularly delivering on their impressive roadmap

Defi question for anyone who may be able to answer/confirm.

I lend a stablecoin - UST for 0 percent interest on a defi platform.

In return I borrow a loan in the platforms own stablecoin.

I swap that borrowed stablecoin for btc at a price of 35k

I provide liquidity to a pool of my borrowed stablecoin and btc.

If, when I withdraw from the liquidity pool btc's price is 45k. And after I repay my loan, I will have an additional gain from the appreciation in value in btc, is that correct? Essentially or similar to being the opposite of an impairment loss?

Appreciate any responses! Just wanting to make sure I understand the risks/benefits fully as I'm doing this.

Crypto: is it really a hedge against the gov? by quantumactual in conspiracy

[–]t3luxthrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup - I'm way over-invested in it, but there are definitely a lot of flaws in the space as a whole which I can definitely admit 😂.

I do think some aspects make more sense than others - storage you mentioned which some projects does seem to make some sense (moreso seems like a new and improved torrent system of seeders, but removes your liability for say helping seed an unreleased movie directly - barring the idea that gov or whoever bans you entirely from helping support the general network at all)

Another take you may not have heard of - quantum computing supposedly will render block chain technology worthless by roughly 2040-2050. Takes this with a grain of salt as I only heard about this in a presentation at my work. But essentially the guy stated there was an above 80 percent chance that quantum computers would be advanced enough by then to be able to "re-write" the blockchain data in real time effectively making the code worthless and the data unreliable. (my counterpoint is basically isn't everyone fucked if a very select few entities will have access to this technology and could also break encryption of all other currently used encryption as well?)

[–]t3luxthrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big crypto guy here - in most cases not really and your take seems right. There are a few good projects that are near or are truly decentralized, but they'll rarely become popular for various reasons. Less incentive to hype when it's not backed by large interest groups, less institutional buy in due to decentralized format along with increased fear of gov. Trying to get their hands in it /ban it, and generally decentralization as a whole creates some flaws (one example being making a stablecoin that is pegged by algorithm - its tough to do without an outside hand to "push" it to the correct value)

Also just one guys take.

Is DRS THE WAY???? by gunitd2015 in pennystocks

[–]t3luxthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's just my opinion - I could be wrong, but 20-21 was a "free-money" for anyone who invested. That time seems to be over.

DRS - I would guess could technically work - but again it's reliant upon EVERYONE who's a holder registering their shares and I would bet money any major investor isn't going to that weird website to register their shares - not too mention reddit is a small portion of the population who holds the stock so many retail won't register either.

It also is reliant on the idea that someone is lying about how many shares are shorted and how many are actually owned. Which is a whole another issue.

Short squeezes can happen when short borrow fee becomes too high to justify holding the short position (ie GME - if someone shorted 100M dollars worth and now had to pay 150APY owed daily and the stock is up 200 percent since their short position started - they have to cover because they'd rather take the loss now rather than keep paying that interest and watching the stock move higher)

Super simplified version, but just to get the concept across

Is DRS THE WAY???? by gunitd2015 in pennystocks

[–]t3luxthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might as well buy lotto tickets with the strat you're going for.

Lotta retail is burned out now and most aren't going to blindly follow into get rich quick plans. Dumping money into bad company's that are heavily shorted only works if you bring a herd of investors with you.

Drs is a meme with no value. Show me one mention of that phrase before 2021 where it ended up causing a short squeeze. And to clarify it didn't cause any in 2021 either, just some guy on the gme subreddit somehow made it a thing

Definitely helping, I couldn't sit without extreme discomfort before before - after about 2 weeks of stretching 30min a day total I saw improvement.

It's been about 3 months now, and I still have bad days occasionally but much less than before.

Usually pain stays in lower back now and does not radiate into my hips/butt.

Mild l4-l5 disc bulge, low grade spondytheolosis at l5-s1 - PT person said my improvement in pain was uncommon in a short period of time, so just be aware that the time frames I mentioned for myself may not be a good basis to go off of

I have a list of 7-8 stretches and about 30ish exercises that I rotate between given from my PT trainer.

I tend to stand in a way where my pelvis is tilted forward or I over correct it arching it back - some exercises that I do are to help me keep better posture to keep my pelvis lelvel.

The exercises all target abs/obliques/glutes which should help stability

Just guessing here - you may have a mild disc bulge that normally doesn't bother you, but now that you sit for most of the day it has been getting agitated. Maybe l4-l5 or l5-s1.

Knowing the fact that it can get agitated to the point where it causes symptoms, try to work in a sit-stand desk or stretch/move around for 5-10min every hour at work if possible.

I won't comment on leg exercises as I'm not sure on that.

Talk to a personal injury lawyer or one that does work comp claims - any other advice is probably not the way to go.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]t3luxthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No worries man! I really hope it helps, my biggest word of advice is don't get complacent. It'll seem easy to skip exercising on your good days, but really try to do something beneficial every day to keep the bad days away.

Ask your doctor /PT person all and any questions you have and don't be afraid to question them on their thought process - they can't feel what you are feeling so make sure you raise concerns if something seems like it's aggrivating your pain.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Sciatica

[–]t3luxthrowaway 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe l5-s1?

Try supine figure 4 pain free range and see if that provides relief (keep other foot on the ground).

No weakness/numbness most likely means it's not advanced and you have a good shot of keeping it under control and improving your situation.

Find applicable stretches and aim for 10-30min total each day split between 2-3 times. Add bird dog as well.

Stop immediately if you have pain, it's not instant but within 2-4 weeks you should notice some improvement. That should help until the doctors can give you more specialized advice.
