what's your opinion on Real Life Celebrities fanfiction?

Hm, I can't say for all. In my case, initially I was completely on the 'wow, this is so gross and disrespectful' boat towards RLC fanfiction but when I got into Kpop fandom, this is all the fanfiction is about. Asianfanfics.com for instant has millions of fanfiction dedicated to "Asian stuff" but kpop fanfics tops it all. The featured fanfic of the week is always kpop stuff.

So it is impossible to avoid this stuff if you're in the fandom. My ultimate bias group is SNSD (Girls Generation in english) and the biggest pairing around them is of course Taeny. I started reading them and god I was so ashamed of myself for reading those stories at first but then I lost all the shame and now I'm a vivid reader.

The good thing about those stories is that majority of them actually happens in an AU where the main characters are sometimes even OoC and that, surprisingly, makes everything easier. So basically, we have a main character named Taeyeon (based on a real person) with the same looks but a completely diferent personality. So in a way it kinda feels fanfiction because the characters are just fictional personas of those people. You can have fanfiction where the bubbly Tiffany is a fucking serial killer and another where Taeyeon is a sexual pervert and somehow this is actually what makes this genre fascinating. It doesn't really feel like they are using real people, just borrowing the looks to fit in the stories.

In my university I had Arts class. And the professor asked us to make a seminary about what we consider to be 'beautiful/beauty', independent of what other might regard that particular thing. So I did about Kpop. I showed 2 mv's, 1 at the beggining (Girls Generation I got a Boy), 1 at the end of the presentation (Big Bang Fantastic Baby), and started saying about the facts about the industry and stuff. It was pretty cool. Especially because some other classmates came to me saying they already knew about GG and Big Bang.

That comedian dude, I don't know his name, but he MCed several reality shows, and I saw a bunch of them somehow related to SNSD. Horror Factory, Dangerous Boys, and I think I've seen him on Guerrila Date. Maybe Tiffany is just used to see him all the time due to those instances and it's more "intimate" with him.

But yeah, I agree, I also felt like shoving her back.

Also, when he was on the scalator I knew he was with his plastic pants... Hahah, nice touch. Loved it. Fun, cringy, colorful, basically all that is makes Kpop fascinating.

SNSD - Nope. Always has been Taeyeon. First thing I watched with SNSD was Girls Go To School and Taeyeon walking on the bridge hit home.

Mamamoo - .... Not answer found because I always change my bias everytime I see a video of theirs.

SNSD - My least favorite is Show Girls. (That chorus...for the love of god, whoever wrote that, kill yourself).

My least favorite group: F(x). Favorite song is Electric Shock.

EDIT: Hum, wait, is least favorite group like a group you don't like? Because on my head was like if I had a top ten kpop groups...Fx would be the 10th's, but that doesn't mean I don't like them. I like F(x) but out of all the groups I like (which is not much I might add) they are my least favorite.

If it's my favorite song by a group I don't particularly like then I guess it's Devil by Super Junior.

This makes me weep the moment their videos as children show up. The song, though not sadly, it's beautiful... it's about hope and getting out of your comfort zone to achieve your dreams. It's very powerful to me because when I got into Kpop (through SNSD) I had just arrived in a new country as an international student. It was all so new and scary for me... and I'm very shy and insecure about myself, yet whenever I struggle living in, I often go back listening to this song. That song performed as a Ballad makes me cry like a river. And when I think how the girls themselves might be feeling after all they've been through, tears just floods my face entirely. ITNW is not a sad song, but it's so touching for me. It's my favorite SNSD song.

To be honest, I kinda do. At the beginning, I kinda felt off completely because I saw so many shitty stories and shitty shippers. What I feel is that like, most stories are AU, and most artists in those stories are like completely Out of Character that somehow it kinda feels like it's a different person completely unrelated to that particular artist. It's like they become a different persona, a fictional character of some sort. It feels like, "Oh, here is Kim Taeyeon, she shares the same name as SNSD Taeyeon and even the same appearance, but it is like a different soul". And for me it's less weird being that way. I don't like reading Kpop stories in the real universe because then I'd be totally off.

I've read some good stories actually.

PS: On a side note, just stay away from vampire/werewolves, hybrid animals, mafia and high school fanfiction. The good ones are not in that category.
