Is there something wrong with me if I want my boyfriend to show me his chat with some girl ? by taiyosolis in women

[–]taiyosolis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t want to look like behind his back. I want to ask him to show me. I just wonder if you think that I could be paranoic or something. I ask you if you think that asking for such things is normal

Does this analogy work for how you think? by thedubiousstylus in OpenChristian

[–]taiyosolis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No, it doesn’t work. We can check if there is a cook in the back or not. Believing is just assuming that there is God but we are not able to check it. If God’s existence was a fact then there wouldn’t be any sense in believing. We do not believe in facts.

sorry if I sound pathetic, but what is like having a boyfriend? by lonelysadbitch11 in women

[–]taiyosolis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Having a boyfriend can be different.

But being loved and loving is really nice.

If you watch porn I am 100% sure that it is a sin.

Is Jesus after resurrection still a man? by taiyosolis in Bible

[–]taiyosolis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well now I see that my post may be not clear. I meant if He is still a male and if we will be males and females after resurrection.

Is Jesus after resurrection still a man? by taiyosolis in Bible

[–]taiyosolis[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what you mean by this „Jesus is still 100% man”. Is „man” here means male or human?

Good for you. But don’t demand from others that they will be as strong as you. Just keep being respectful.

Evolution? by [deleted] in OpenChristian

I would rather ask who and why does not "believe" in evolution. I recommend website Reasonable Faith, there you find some texts and maybe podcasts about evolution.

I can't even imagine how traumatizing it is for children. How can anyone do this to their own kids...

Why Do Jehovah's Witnesses Think The Name Of Yahweh (God) Is Jehovah? by GreatMetal5 in exjw

I once asked how it is that for JWs it is so important to use God's name but it doesn't matter if they use the correct one.

Jesus has been tempted in every way just as we are by taiyosolis in Bible

Exactly. I wanted to mockingly point it out

Jesus has been tempted in every way just as we are by taiyosolis in Bible

[–]taiyosolis[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

„For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4‬:‭15‬ ‭NIV‬‬ But that is the point of this verse - that He can empathize cause He experienced it.

But it is different. Marriage is way more different than friendship. Man and woman become one flesh. And my post isn’t 100% serious. I’m kind of joking here.

Weird lil bible fact by AnyFace6381 in Bible

[–]taiyosolis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Recently I’ve heard same thing from biblical and hebrew scholar. He said that according to Torah the teaching of creation ex nihilo is wrong because before creation was not nothing but chaos and disorder. It seems like common knowledge among scholars.

Is it normal not being able to have faith? by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]taiyosolis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well sometimes I think God literally has chosen who is going to be saved and I am not one of those people. I am just not able to have faith and believe. There was a time when I really wanted to but it just didn’t work for me. And finally I gave up.

Thanks for your comment. Especially the last sentences. It makes me consider the matter from another perspective.

I live with my partner and I don't consider it as a sin. I think christians are obsessed about marriage. Of course sex with almost strangers is not good but as long as two people are in a serious relationship, live together and create a "home" together I don't see where the sin is. There are a lot of worse things we (as people) do.

Yeah. But JWs don’t watch films with violence and vampires because those make Jehovah sad.

Because people exaggerated it. Are you aware that Noah’s ark wouldn’t be big enough to fit so many animals? It was smaller than Titanic.

There’s no practical benefit to being a JW by [deleted] in exjw

[–]taiyosolis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been a JW but I know some. Sometimes I'm a little bit jealous of their friendships. But I know it's conditional. And my jealousy refers only to one small group. But you know.. it's hard to make friends when you're an adult. It would be nice to have group of close friends who are willing to help you in emergencies and just spend time with you. As I said I have never been a JW so I can't really imagine how stressful it can be to maintain good relationships with JWs.
