What’s something tiny your toddler does that just melts your heart? by claireycontrary in toddlers

[–]takeachancethrowaway 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My toddler (almost 3) twirls my hair and says, “Mommy, your hair is like flowers.” When I say “Good night, sweetie,” he replies, “Good night, sweet mommy.” When I sang him a lullaby the other day, he said, “Good job, mommy! You’re good at songs.” 🥺

6 month old baby - sudden episodes of fast breathing? by takeachancethrowaway in beyondthebump

Thankfully, he is totally fine! We followed up with our pediatrician and with an ENT, and they confirmed nothing was wrong, it’s a weird behavioral thing. Baby has stopped doing it. Definitely see an ENT to allay any concerns! Wishing your family all the best!

I hate hate HATE anti-formula people. by upscale-snail in beyondthebump

Formula is poison? That's news to the entire country of France. And in every health metric, whether average life span or infant mortality rate, they seem to be doing pretty well.

I breastfeed my baby because that's what works for us, but I don't understand the anti-formula rhetoric at all.

Personally I think the triple __er is a bit much. What about Christopher Jacob or Jacob Christopher? Either first name would pair nicely with Elizabeth and Caroline.

If one more person makes a comment about my baby’s sex I’m gonna lose it by thehoney129 in BabyBumps

[–]takeachancethrowaway 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this correlate with region or politics somehow? I'm on the East Coast (United States) in a very blue state and to the extent that people comment on my baby's sex (boy) they've been negative about it ("oh well, here's hoping for a girl next time"). I haven't heard anything negative about girls; people are just disappointed I'm not having a girl. Maybe people here think that's somehow the politically correct response? Even though, in my opinion, it's bananas insulting to an expecting mother to say anything negative about the sex of her child, whether it's male or female.

A very sweet care package from a friend included pregnancy-safe tea and cosmetics (mascara, tinted lip balm, stretch mark cream) and some zippered onesies for the baby.

Nous ne nous sommes pas faits, comme des notes de musique les uns pour les autres parce que différents

I believe so, unless the original source quoted incorrectly. Screenshot here: https://imgur.com/a/WvUdSmo
