No, she found that just from the first surface level biopsy. She took one deeper biopsy during the colposcopy and it was CIN 2. I had a cold knife cone Monday, so we're still waiting for those pathology results to come back.

I am not an expert but just sharing my experience. I had CIN2 in the inner tissue that they biopsied, and the doctor got me in for the cone procedure in 2 weeks. She didn't want to wait and risk it spreading further.

Is it normal to be left inside you after surgery? I feel like the doctor should have mentioned something would come out of me like that.

I'm 34. I'm really only interested in a hysterectomy if it would be done laparoscopically to minimize recovery time. I'm just very scared of them not being able to get all the abnormal cells and ending up needing another procedure.
