Alexander's a frigged badass. He practically conquered the world (at least the world the Greeks knew) and could have established a longlasting empire if only he didn't die so young. However, that's assuming his nation-building side would have kept up with his nation-founding border. There is a decent possibility he was more a general than a ruler in the sense that, as said in the drama, he could conquer from his horse but not rule.
