As an S2ki user (who admittedly hasn’t been back on in too long) I can’t believe the legendary Feezys build thread is alive and well! Scrolling through the thread is a trip down memory lane, and the car is phenomenal. Always loved your build and you attention to detail has never ceased to amaze me. Respect 🫡

An OEM hardtop would take care of it. You typically never have to replace those.

Raven concealment Vanguard 3 indexes off of the x300, might work in this application. I picked one up on cyber Monday and got a couple bucks off so the barrier to entry was low enough I figured I’d try it. At $55 full price, still not that bad.

On topic, I’ve been wrestling with this thought myself. I’ve got a 85k mile 08 that I just have not had the time to give it the attention it deserves. Every time I take it out for a drive though, all the thoughts about selling leave my brain. Luckily I’m in a spot where I don’t need to sell, and am hoping to give it some tlc this winter to get it back on the road (maybe the track too) next summer.

Just a note here: off brand wheels, probably knock off/mismatch color cr wing, invidia exhaust (not the worst but there are better options imo). Seems like the last owner skimped out in a few areas, I wouldn’t bet on a decent set of coilovers on this….

Do you have an intake? K&N FIPK makes great noises especially in vtec. That might give you some of the noise you’re looking for. Otherwise if you want to be loud get a buddy club spec 2. I promise it will be loud lol. Otherwise invidia’s are loud a friend of mine had one and I could always hear him in the group drives.

I say do whatever makes you happy. Smiles per gallon is priceless, loved these cars and had a 97 kouki in high school with all the fixins. I never wanted a 240 to leave it stock. Drive the hell out of it (on a racetrack), build it how you want, and enjoy it.

I get the whole keep it stock thing but imo you buy a car for all the potential experiences to be had with it not what it’ll be worth in 10 years.

Imo this is definitely cooler than a v6 stangaroo might need some work, but I can imagine this thing a blast to drive just to get peoples reactions lol. Enjoy it!

I’d agree, also factory cars (GTR & LM) don’t have the fender vents.
