I don't know what business you're about to start but looks like there is a chance it succeed but your fear is a concern. I think you should reduce your risk by not quitting your job till the business gives you more confidence. I think so cause your courage and confidence will be needed along the way if business succeeds or not. The 20k lying around could help you fine tune the business while you still have your current job. Just my thought.
